She lives in my sis in law's neighborhood, they'll be glad to see her go. :o)
But I really don't understand why they left the children with her, they've had a truly dismal start in life.

On Entertainment Tonight, she was asked if she would do a porno movie. In summary, she said 'if it helped take care of my family, YES - in a heart beat!' That's just SICK - who would enjoy looking at her?!

With Dad in the nursing home and on Medicaid, she is using his check to pay their bills...and part of hers now. I've mentioned bankruptcy to my husband but I think both of us are just stagnant. We're getting through our days, doing what we need to do. Attorneys cost money and require *time*; our most precious comodity. She is not on Medicaid because I have not sought to do the paperwork. She has independant Health care coverage, Meals on Wheels (though the food is kinda' yucky; really bad for you). Medicaid would take everything away; meaning her freedom to use their money how she chooses. They own nothing, but silly as it sounds, paying the bills helps her think she's still *in charge*. I've talked with 4 of the creditors and they are finally getting the message. $25.00/$50.00 a month will never pay their debts, but she's showing *good faith* intent. I feel terrible that I can't seem to muster anymore interest in pursuing anything. Mom had surgery on her "bad" hand last week. 4 trips to the Doctor, but she is doing ok and I think she's glad she had it done. But this week I've noticed that I was more sharp and insensitive towards Dad when I took him home. Everything about him aggrevates me and for the first time, I realized that I could, by my *hurrying/rushing* to get things done, cause hurt to him. That really jolted me. Do I smell a religious discussion lurking in the wings? I had my post scratched, here, when I commented on the "God helps those who help themselves" quotation above. Plus admin sent me a warning to behave myself. I understood that religion and politics were not permitted on the Kitchen Table, but haven't seen in the Terms of Service that it was unacceptable elsewhere. As many of you know, I have spoken often here in opposition to the 15 - 18% rates of interest on major credit cards and the 25 - 28% charged by store-issued cards. When we sign (or, by our action agree to) contracts, it's important that we understand the terms. But many people don't bother ... many just ask how much they must pay as minimum monthly payment. Which means that, if they follow that procedure, they'll still owe part of that debt in 10 years or so. Along with a number of others, I've said for years, and done some lobbying along the line of trying to get implemented, that children should be taught more about the management of daily living, including money management, in school - but in most places it's very little done. As a parent, it seems to me important that I teach my children how money works, and how to take care that they not get into trouble in its use. I've done quite a lot of talking here relateed to the need for people to learn increasingly how to manage both their income and assets effectively. Taking on some of these credit card contracts grows to be more or less like flushing a $50. bill down the toilet ... ... every week. Stupid ... and hardly any of them would take on such a contract, if the terms were fully explained to them. I am distressed by the OP's reference to being able to keep not only cars ... but "houses", as well. I lived for a number of years where people, many of them refugees who'd left their home with nothing, had to save for years to afford a bicycle. Plus devise methods of countering rather high rates of inflation which chewed value annually from each of their units of currency while they did so. That's a treadmill, for sure. I am troubled by the lackadaisical attitude that some (many?) of our contemporaries seem to take regarding discharging obligations which they have undertaken: no one forced them into it. If my kid runs down an icy hill with leather shoes ... s/he shouldn't be surprised if s/he falls on her/his patoot. When we get to be adults ... we should act responsibly. When we make a contract, we should make a serious effort to fulfill our obligations in it. ole joyful

Bankruptcy law is Federal law in the U.S. so whether its Florida or some other state--the result would be the same with regard to inheritance. One of the questions they ask at the first hearing of a bankruptcy case is whether you are going to inherit money, or whether you are involved in litigation or something that would bring money in so that creditors could be paid. So they know at the outset of the case that you might inherit. It is possible (and highly likely) for the court or the trustee to keep the case open longer than usual if there is a sum of money coming in from any source. Generally, if your case is closed and you have received a discharge (its all over) and then somebody dies leaving you money the limit is probably 6 months from that date. And the 727 after my name is a section of the bankruptcy code that describes what happens if they discover you have tried to hide assets.

My ex is not bi polar and we get along ok for the most part, but there have definitely been times that I just don't understand him and it's usually related to child support. He pays $300 a month. Pretty low, right? Well I didn't even fight him, just accepted the $300 a month. I didn't ask for consideration of daycare, health ins, nada! I got sole custody, legal and physical. He moved a lot for work and wasn't too interested in having custody anyway. So anyway, about a year after the split he calls to ask me about DD's daycare. I explain, email him the website, it really was a wonderful preschool. Him: How much does it cost? Me: $800 Him: Can't you find anything cheaper? Me: Probably, but this average price range for this area and it's a wonderful school that DD loves going to. Him: But that's a lot of money. Me: I know, daycare is expensive. Him: Well, I'd like you to find a cheaper daycare. Me: Why? Him: I want to lower CS. Me: Uh, you are as low as you can get. Him: Well, if you find a cheaper one I dont have to pay as much. Me: A cheaper daycare won't change your support order, it doesn't even consider daycare costs in it. You're going to run the risk of getting a higher order. Etc. This went on and on and on. I thought I was going to pull my flipping hair out. Dude, you're not even paying CS for daycare! WTF! LOL LOL and don't even get me started on the first SM figure he brought into DD's life. He decided again since he was supporting SM's kids, that he should get to lower CS for DD! Those weren't even his flipping kids! Then she decided to email me (she was nice though) how "lucky" DD was to have involved Dad and she wished her kids had that. SHE wouldn't take all the money in the world for her kids to have a relationship with their father. Uh, hello???? My DD is not "lucky" to have an involved father. That is what he is supposed to do! Weirdo! Just because he's a male doesn't mean he gets a pat on the back for being the father he is supposed to be to DD. Jeez Then the second girlfriend who had no kids decided to email me that $300 was just too much to raise a kid. She thought I had some kind of mental deficiency and I should show HER and Ex my budget for DD since $300 was altogether too much money for CS and I must be living high on the hog or something. LOL, I could go on and on for days, but you get my drift SoFrustrated, you are SOOOO not alone. BioMom's aren't always evil, money sucking wenches. Sometimes we do have valid complaints, sometimes we just want to vent and it's ok. SM's don't have the corner on blended/divorced family problems.

As for the hairdo, she said it included haircuts for the kids. The beautician said no, it did not include the kids.

What is sad to me is that the early childhood years are critical to children's proper development. They need affection, peek-a-boo, smiling eye contact and all that we give our cherished children. I seriously doubt her kids are getting that.

I helped take care of my baby grandaughter this weekend. I thought to myself, "What if I had 7 more to take care of like this?" It's impossible. Maybe she has help; I don't know.

From videos I've seen, the babies seem vacant-eyed and mute. She forces them to repeat words and sentences, but they don't really show signs of independent speech. They look like neglected babies from a poorly run orphanage. So sad.......

The TV was on this morning and I was listening. Whatever show it was, I heard them say she had done an instructional video... on masturbation. Tell me I heard wrong! LOL

Those poor children! She is morally and mentally bankrupt...and now financially bankrupt also. I think the doctor who fertilized her should pay for support of the octuplets.

She was in the news recently because her hairdresser came to her house and afterwards, reported her to the authorities. She claimed the house and the children were being neglected.

I can't include a link right now but on the net you'll see pictures of the children using their potties outside and graffiti sprayed all over the walls on the inside.

I think she's just about admitted defeat. There have been suggestions that the well-to-do should be helping her at this stage. But will they when she spends $500 on haircuts??

Zeetera, I fear that any money she is given will go straight to her own 'needs' - plastic surgery, makeup, hair, gym, etc. The babies are nothing but publicity props to her. I don't think she has even a shred of love for them. What a shame that they weren't taken away at birth!

Quite awhile ago, the state and county were going to take the kids, but so many people cried, boo-hoo, gave money, promised to help out, including celebrities, the backed off. Too bad they didn't tell the people where to go, do it anyway. I have seen a situation more than once that the kids would be better and/or still alive it they just did it.

I do believe the children should be taken from her but on the other hand, who's to say they would wind up in good loving homes. Our social service system is not exactly the best. At least they are all together and in a few years I'm sure they will do a good job of taking care of each other. How very sad.

I too heard she is making an instructional video on Masturbation. She claims it is not porn because she is the only one in the video. Just when you think you're done hearing about her, she manages to put herself back in the spotlight. Disgusting.

The kids should be put into caring home(s) and the octoslug should be used for veterinary experiments. But people keep watching her and giving her what she wants just like so many of the other sleaze balls out there.

QOTD: Is it shame on her, or shame on the ones who watch her, or the other oxygen wastes? If nobody watched, they wouldn't get the publicity they craved. You decide.

Octomom's not the only one I'm afraid for. What is going to happen to Kate what's-her-name's 8 kids when her star fades? Still octomom is the worst. I think she thought she would become a millionaire from all this, and the attention would never end. Poor kids.

LOL, Steppy - Kate 'what's-her-name! I agree. The only reason Octomom is still in the public eye is that she has 14 kids who touch our hearts so much. Nobody cares about their disgusting mother.
