Thank you all for your support it means the world to me. I've always been the type to beat myself up for not knowing how to do the things just right. It would not be so bad if dad's mind wasn't clear as a bell right now. His abuse of his medicine is a real concern for me. I got a call from him today saying he needs his antibiotic for his sinus, well he'll only take one or two and he says it cures his sinus. You and I know this isn't so and even if it does help it's short term, taking the antibiotics like that can cause harm but no one can get this through to my dad. I have had so many problems with doctors in my past that I don't trust them easily. It was me that saved my husband from a possible stroke, his blood pressure was high and I could tell when it was up but with the sleep apne he had to take showed how bad it was. They could not get it down all night so I marched into our dr.'s and told them about this and they looked back at his chart and seen that it was high everytime he went in for a check up. Now why don't they pay more attention to this? This is why I fear looking for yet another doctor. I have no luck with them. Only once did I have a wonderful doctor and within a year my insurance changed and he didn't take it :( He was the one that listen to me about my weight and took test finding that my thyroid was bad. I went through years with a sore throat and my throat closing up at night in my sleep, waking up unable to breath for 10 or so seconds but felt longer and didn't know if I'd get my breath. If it's wasn't for y'all I don't know if I'd be able to be strong for my dad. I never knew it could be so hard. I look at pictures of my grandparents, dads parents and talk to them and wishing they were here. They had a hard life and I can just image that they went through just what I am now. They took care of my great grandmother for 17 years then told my grandmothers brother it was time for him to care for his mother and give them a break. Great grandmother was called little granny and I never seen pictures of her but heard great stories about her, I found a picture of her the other day and I'm so happy to finally seen her, she past away a few years before I was born. Dear Patty, I can imagine that this is so upsetting....I think, like LU says, it is best to discuss all her reports with the nurse manager on the unit. She may be misinterpreting something that is done, but nonetheless, it is frightening to HER. It is their job to try to minimize that kind of thing. I think it is normal for you to be grieving now. You have lost a big part of your lifestyle. My Mom was at home her entire illness, and I was like you....crying often because life was so strange and I missed our "normal life". Even if I took her to a movie or to shop, it was so sad because it was so different and she couldn't really enjoy it like she should have been able to, and I missed that fellowship. So, I think you are on target here, and it would be odd if you did not grieve for that. Splitting time with the nursing home is exhausting, and exhaustion makes you more prone to saddness and depression. My sister often told me that, and I think it was true. But when you are the sole caregiver, exhaustion is an everyday thing, and there is no way around it. Try to work in some time for yourself..things you find relaxing. Visit her as much as you feel you want to. But if you miss a visit, be reassured that she MAY not miss it. And that is to your benefit. Of course you can always revisit the idea of bringing her home...IF you can get the help you need. It is not an impossible undertaking, and perhaps you would have more peace of mind. You can't do anything about the changes in volume levels as programming content changes. The station engineer has some control, but he would be fiddling with the controls all the time. It seems that the problem is with the advertizers. They do not adhere to modulation standards and like it when their recording studios pump up the volume on their clips - in other words - it was recorded that way! Here in the States, we sometimes have a little recourse by complaning to the station manager and sending a copy to the company whose ads are offenders. People have threatened to boycott stations ccarrying such obnoxious ads. It also helps to complain to the licensing authority. If you still get no attention, it may help to tip off an investigative newspaper reporter. Just make sure that the TV station and newspaper are not owned by the same company. In the inttrim, there is a work-around and that is to hit the mute button on your remote when an ad comes on, then hit mute again when you desire to resume watching. This saves wear on the volume control knob. [However, most volume controls on modern TV sets these days are digital and do not have a physical potentiometer to wear out.] Another solution is to record the show and play it back later. Use the fast forward to skip over the ads. You'll find that you wiil save a lot of time.

well live cam to what? there are thousands of live cams, to zoos, to Africa wildlife, to beaches, to New Orleans, you name it there are cams to watch. If you can be specific I can try to find some. I love to watch the ones at the beaches like Hawaii and just imagine I am there LOL! there are sites like this one that will list several different cams you can look at, be careful when searching for live cams however or you may find yourself in some questionable areas with live cams of the human animal variety!
