Do You Wear white shoes????

This goes with my do you wear white pants post. I do not like white shoes unless they are tennies~~I think they make my feet look huge. I have one pair my DD bought me in Spain kinda of a backless Mary Jane style with ladybugs and leaves on them~~I do wear those but the truth is only when she is around:(

Maybe I should really go crazy and buy a pair of white sandals to go with my white pants??? No I can not go that far!

I wear white tennis shoes and I do like white sandals. I think white sandals make my very pale legs and feet look somewhat tan.

I agree with you. I do wear white tennis shoes, but even when I own white shoes, I just don't wear them. I do think white sandals would look good with white slacks though. You should match your shoes to the clothing closest to the shoes, usually the hem of the skirt, pants, shorts or dress you are wearing.

As I matter of fact I do wear jewelry differently at my 2 homes! I can't stand cold metal touching me so I don't wear necklaces in the winter (from Nov to about March) at my regular home. And I wear one particular pair of earring almost all winter because they dangle but not long enough to touch my skin. Some of the longer ones end up touching my neck from my scarves & bulky coat so I avoid those. It's crazy but cold metal just sends a chill right through me and makes me feel colder. Since it's warmer in HHI, I do wear necklaces & earrings and even bracelets. I usually bring a few down with me so that I can have some variety. One necklace at a time, if it's bold than the earrings are smaller. One bracelet at a time and it depends on my sleeve length. In both places, I occasionally wear rings when I remember them. Your comments about gold & blue reminds me that I have an 18k gold ring with a lapis lazuli stone. I should dig that out and start wearing it again.

Mine are a LEE brand I usually do petite's but got the medium in these, being a bit longer they cover my one veiny leg better. They are stretch and have some thing in the pockets that is supposed to instanly slim me. I did not notice it and I did look at my behind from behind:) It is what it is:) I do not wear long tops they make me look too dumpy or should I say dumpier~~on What Not to Wear they tell not to wear them too long so I don't anymore and I think they may be right. I am going to go check out the Spanx stuff at Nordie's I have always wanted some.

Thanks for all the responses. I have a really nice gold watch that DH gave as a 20th anniverary gift. It doesn't get worn in the summer when I'm wearing my silver jewelery, because I switch to a stainless steel watch to go with the silver bracelet and neckchain I usually wear. But I know I'd be heartbroken if my gold watch was ever stolen when I'm not wearing it. So since the majority seem to think it's o.k. to wear both at the same time, I'm putting my gold watch back on and still wearing my silver bracelet on the other wrist!

Jane, try a pair of Rothy's or Cariuma IBI sneakers in the knit fabric. I have a pair of the Rothy's slip ons and was just looking at the Cariuma -- they have them in Pantone colors (including Viva Magenta) as well as some prints. But Rothy's can be machine washed (cold -- too warm can cause them to shrink) and the recycled plastic thread they use shouldn't hold onto dirt even in white. I haven't washed my sneakers yet, but I have washed other Rothy's flats and that's why I decided to get the sneakers - white that should stay white.

No...I do not wear white shoes...

I have big feet...(big person)...and I think they look terrible on large feet.

No I don't wear white shoes unless they are tennis shoes. Like you, I think they make my feet look like boats!

I have white sandals and I wear them alot. I have one pair of white shoes - a low heel - but only wear them when I dress up - which I seldom do.

I have one pair of white sandals, low heel. Like Lindy, I uslly wear them only with a skirt or white pants.

Good I am not the only anti white shoe person~~lately I do not even buy white work out shoes I got gray the last time.

I finally realized I do not look good in all-white shoes. I do wear athletic shoes that are mostly white with some color trim, and I've worn white sandals, no problem.

Sandals or tennies but that is it. I do love spectators tho, do they count?

I used to have some really nice white flip flops but last year's puppies nibbled on one and so they ended up with both of them. I haven't bought anymore yet.

I like the look of white sandals/flip flops ... but my main problem with them is that so often, people don't keep them clean & white. They are *not* attractive if they're dirty.

I don't care for many white dress shoes ... altho a long time ago when I could still wear heels, I had a pair of winter-white (a really really REALLY pale taupe) peep toe shoes that were awesome. I could've worn those babies every single day they were so comfy.

I have one pr. of white flats that are open on one side (kind of hard to describe) that I wear with my white pants. We have hot weather during the yr. as well as summer so they're worn throughout the yr. Really comfy as the bottoms are made of some kind of spongy stuff.

I have one pair of white sandles to wear on vacation and during the hot days of summer, usually with something preppy that has some white in it. If I'm wearing white capris I usually wear my Cole Haan thong wedges that are a tan leather.
