Just bought a pair--haven't had white for ages. If your bright top is long enough, you won't have to worry about the panty-line. (I love longer tops!)

I love white for summer...have several pairs of white shorts, capris and long pants.

No, and I don't wear Khakis either..I don't want to see my thighs or butt in them...I think more people should get a good look from behind before they put some things on..lol

Spanx panties won't show the line, but at $30 a pop, they will take care of any issues you have with white slacks. Better department stores usually have them. I got some on sale at Lane Bryant! (Full-figured me!)

I cut the legs off of a old support panty hose and used those for long undies when you wear a white pant. I learned that from Oprah. But, I have Spanx now. LOL!

Yes I do...I don't think I look any worse or bigger in white than any other color...It's a nice change for the summer...

I have a pair of white jeans that I like. A few weeks ago I bought some "dressy" white pants but I think they will go back to the store as I hardly ever dress up anymore.
BTW I did look at myself in a rear view mirror before I bought them. Lol ..

White seems to be a stain-magnet for me, so I try to stay away from it. I have many ruined white T-shirts that are now for yard work and exercise. I just know if I bought white pants I would be able to wear them only once.

I would sit in something or spill wine or barbeque sauce in my lap, without fail!

I recently bought a pair of white capris. They are supposed to make my tummy look flatter. A really good friend who is honest said "you don't look like you have gone up two pants sizes". So I guess the white pants don't make my butt and belly look bigger.

If I didn't get so dirty I would wear them more. I just can't seem to keep them clean, if it isn't food it's from leaning against something. I hate to see stained or dingy white pants, shorts or skirts.

TEE HEE..okay you gals. I suggest y'all move to Florida! All of us old broads wear white pants down here-almost all year. No Spanx, no pantyhose-nothing but the real thing under those whites! I only wear those that have spandex in them as I have no butt so they fit much better-especially the Gloria Vanderbilt or Bill Blass brands. I wash them in cold water-always spray stain remover on the knees, butt and wherever there's a stain or mark and always hang them outside-never ever dry them in the dryer. They stay nice & white. Best part? At least here on the Gulf Coast? Noone cares what color you wear..just be comfortable!

You know what? If I like pants, shorts, whatever, I wear them! I am the size I am, which is not too bad, but I have a gut, and so do most women. But I don't dress for other people. I dress for what is comfortable for me.

I have looked for the last couple years for new white pants. Can't find any, or white jeans either. I did get a pair at Walmart and brought them home to try. Have to take them back. Even though they are a good size for me they are too "short in the rise."

Why don't they make clothes like they used to?

Yes,I wear white. Interesting that some of you think white makes you look bigger. I don't feel that way at all. I think it depends on the style, like every other color. Some styles are more flattering than others. I wear thongs with my whites so I don't get panty lines.

I don't have white pants, but I do have two pairs of white capris that I wear. I love how crisp and clean they look.

I don't have white pants at the moment. The last pair shrank to much, LOL. But I do have several very light tan ones that I love to wear. Just not right now. To hot. In the heat of the summer (or just when it is plain HOT) I prefer to wear dresses. More airflow. :)

I bought some 2 summers ago and haven't worn them at all...I love the look of white pants and used to wear them when I was younger/smaller. I keep saying I'll wear them but so far just not brave enough! I too am getting spanx....I need all the help I can get!

I have a pair of capris that are a crisp white fabric, like sheeting, almost. I call 'em my pirate pants- drawstring waist, roll up legs, hardware, etc. They need ironing, so I don't wear 'em much.

I can't find a pair that I like or that fit me right. I love white though. I have a hard time with capris, I always think they look weird on me. I love them on other people, but not me.

The only pair of white pants I have ever owned in my 49 years was 30 years ago when I worked in a nursing home.
Never had them! I do have one pair of kahki short pants and I have worn them I believe twice in almost 5 years cause I hate how they look. Hmmmmm another thing for the garage sale I guess!

I have 2 prs. of white pants, one a knit, one a cotton, plus a pr. of white shorts. I wear them quite a bit in hot weather. I, too, dress for comfort & don't worry what other people think. I feel I look okay in them & my top covers my stomach, my biggest part. I've seen a lot worse on other people, that's for sure!

I love white pants and have quite a few pair, pants, capris and shorts...I think you do have to make sure the material is heavy enough not to have panty lines...I also like to wear longer shirts to cover the tummy....
Now make up every day, that's a different story.....

Mine are a LEE brand I usually do petite's but got the medium in these, being a bit longer they cover my one veiny leg better. They are stretch and have some thing in the pockets that is supposed to instanly slim me. I did not notice it and I did look at my behind from behind:) It is what it is:)

I do not wear long tops they make me look too dumpy or should I say dumpier~~on What Not to Wear they tell not to wear them too long so I don't anymore and I think they may be right.

I am going to go check out the Spanx stuff at Nordie's I have always wanted some.
