It's hot here, too! We are having a chicken and mushroom quiche florentine and sliced tomatoes with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. It's Friday, I've had my shower, and I get my husband for two whole days. Whoopee!
What is an iced tea maker? I make the world's worst iced tea, and need all the help (mechanical or not) that I can get!

None. I had a tuna salad sandwich for lunch then a friend brought me a cheeseburger. UGH!

I had a BBQ pork sandwich, chips and pasta salad for lunch at a local diner and it was real good. BTW, iced tea was my accompanying beverage! Was in the store and picked up some tea packets and instant tea. I want to try out the iced tea maker. Got a question for you though. Is it really anything more than a drip coffeemaker? I don't want a redundant appliance sitting around. I have a Mr. Coffee tea maker but never opened it. Thought I'd give it away if it does nothing more than my Proctor Silex! And do you have a favorite tea? Not to hijack the thread but just a couple questions. Bought some decaf tea. The stuff I have here is pretty old so I thought I should probably just toss it.

Back to topic, Won't be having supper most likely. But I might grab a hot dog for a snack later if I get the urge.

I'm making a pizza--sausage and pepperoni. I think I'm addicted to Boars Head pepperoni. It's really good on a saltine! LOL

Got up at 5 this morning because we had to go to Gainesville for DH's physical therapy appt. and I'm about worn out. No matter what his appointment is for it seems it's always at the far end of the building. I push him in a wheel chair, which isn't that hard, but I sure am tired when we get home. The VA hospital is huge! After that we went grocery shopping for a few things we forgot the other day. I'm about ready for bed to tell you the truth!

We are having grilled chicken wings, fried potatoes and watermelon. I made Sun Tea the other day and we will probably finish that up. It should be time to eat in just a few minutes. Hubby does all the cookin' around here. He's a fantastic cook! I'm so blessed.

was supposed to be subway or bk, yes i know, but the electric went out here for a few hours so we never made it...good thing mom cooks early lol so i had a meatball sub. yum! wish i couldve had cole slaw with it though!!

I have cooked some green beans with potatoes, and I'm having leftover pork roast. Waiting now for cornbread to be done. I know it is hot, but I just wanted a good meal!

Ice cream later on.

fri's & Sat's we eat out, that way we have extra time sat & sun to work off the bad for you food lol. today was Anthony's Pizza in Casselberry (burb of orlando) i had eggplant parmag w/ziti and dh the usual pizza. it is the closest thing i have found to authentic chicago (my hometown) pizza too. ~ liz

I had toast for supper, followed by cherry pie and strawberries from the garden.

My iced tea maker is made by Mr. Coffee. None of mine are new I have a few that I got from garage sales. I guess you can make them in a coffee maker, but if there has been coffee in part of it, probably it will make the tea have an off taste. I am very particular about my tea, I want no other flavors unless it is supposed to be there. I like the iced tea maker as it does a good job and is handy for me. I use decaf tea at home almost all the time. I don't always use the same brand of tea bags. I sometimes use Red Rose and sometimes Tetley's British Blend. I put a pinch of baking soda in the top part with the tea bags. I guess Cynic you could try your coffee maker and if you like it, use it then. You can use loose tea in your tea maker, but use a coffee filter to keep the tea leave out of the pitcher of tea. I don't know for sure but probably at least a teaspoon of the loose for a teabag. I am guessing the coffee maker has a glass pitcher, don't know how that holds up putting ice in it for the hot tea to drip down on, it might crack it. The iced tea makers have a hard plastic pitcher. Hope this helps.

Youngest son fixed something for himself since he was going out. Middle son and his girl friend are in the kitchen right now making iced tea and I don't know what else. I slipped in and made a quick pimento cheese sandwich and got a pickle slice, but I'm still hungry. Will look for something else when the kitchen clears. :o)

Tacos and mexican rice. Lipton's Peach Tea. Around here it is hard to find but it is soooo good. Just a hint of peach.

Haveing grilled honey/garlic chicken breast, potatoes and pickles and creamsicle for dessert.

We're going out for the Seafood Buffet at a local place so I'm starving myself right now in anticipation of crab legs and shrimp scampi.

Have no clue. Don't have a lot of fresh food since I bought hardly anything this past payday. Didn't want to waste a bunch of food since we were leaving soon. I may go pick up Taco Bell. Have only eaten once, plus had a small popcorn at the movies.
