Need some big prayers asap...please

I just got this email...Ron Weaver is a good friend of ours......

Everyone please pray for Ron Weaver as he got struck by 10,000 volts of electricity this morning while working, it is on channel 7 news. He has been life flightied to St. Elizabeth burn centre in Lincoln as he has severe burns. Tammy and Sam are on their way to Lincoln and as I understand it Pastor Claude and Cathy are on their way now. Please pray and a prayer chain has been started but please send this or call anyone you can think of to pray.

I will certainly pray for your friend, and also call some people that are on a chain of "partners in prayer" at our local church.

Saying prayers for you and Hank. Here is our experience with non-surgical treatment of ACL tear in a 160-lb senior English mastiff who has all four legs. What we do: *Rimadyl 2x a day *Canine Cortaflex (a liquid form of MSM, glucosamine, and chondroitin on which the maker offers a money-back guarantee) 2x a day *fish oil 1 x daily *massage (we do this, to keep blood supply to the joint so it heals and to keep him relaxed) *orthopedic foam beds and a twin mattress on the floor, on which he has dibs *bedding has to be smooth and wrinkle-free so he doesn't catch his feet or legs in it and sprain his good legs or reinjure the knee *no stairs *no rugs that slide or bunch *no wrestling with younger mastiffs *leash walks to control how much he runs and plays (which he wants to do now) *make sure he stays at his ideal weight to reduce joint stress If you have access to a holistic vet, or one trained in acupuncture, chiropractic and acupuncture could be a big help in the healing. We did not go this route because our mastiff responded so well to the treatment plan we worked out. The Canine Cortaflex made a huge difference. You are supposed to use a loading dosage (double the maintenance dose) for just a week, but I did it for several months. Within 2 weeks Thor could get up and down easily and walked without limping. After six weeks he was ready to play with the younger mastiffs. We watched him carefully and about six weeks ago cut back the Rimadyl dosage. He's fine, wants to run and play, is ready to come up and down the stairs (which we do not permit) and has no problems getting up or lying down. I observe him carefully and can tell by the degree of extra movement in the knee how he is feeling and how much play, walking, etc. he can tolerate. Five months after diagnosis, our mastiff is doing well without surgery. Good luck, and give Hank a big hug from me!

Thanks everyone! patti43-I do have a large house,4 bedrooms and 2 baths,2 living areas.Since DGS and his GF left and DGD will be moving out to live with her dad this week,I'll have 2 extra bedrooms.One for them and one for other guests if that should ever happen.LOL DH and I have bedrooms on opposite ends of the house from where DS and DDIL will be so we will all have our own space.Yes, DS will be a big help to DH with all the manitenence (Is that spelled right? My spell check says no but shows that as the spelling,strange) that needs to be done and if we wanted to take a break they would be able to handle the business for a few days. Linda-Babies are due Aug. 17 but I'll bet she won't go that long.Just trying to keep them in there as long as possible.

My prayers are certainly with you and your friend. Don't give up hope. I have a cousin who survived a high voltage line falling on a pipe he was touching so there is always hope.

God thoughts heading his way. My ex has worked for the power company for over 35 years and I've seen several fine men hurt and/or killed by electricity. ((Ron and his family and friends))

Tonight's new reported that he was in serious condition...but earlier they were giving news that wasn't right...so I don't know if what they said is right now...

I don't want to call over there yet...so I'll wait awhile for some news.
