Need some serious prayers

DD and DSIL were informed last week that they are to be out of the house they are renting by the first of May.This is putting them in a serious bind,especially with DD's injury and everything going on with that,plus the fact that SIL is in PA and she and dgs are here alone.Anyway,long story short,they found a house to buy and are to put an offer on it today.

Please pray that everything will work out with this house or that they will have a home by the end of April.I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason and this may not work out but I also believe in the power of prayer,and I know there are some powerful "prayers" here!LOL TIA

thank goodness they've found a house! lets hope, and pray the sellers are motivated to get out asap! if not those "pod" storage bins are a great way to keep things in order, if they have to have temp housing...

tell dd to get a power of attorney, so if the sellers accept the offer and the house passes inspection, she can sign papers if sil can't be there...i had to do that a couple of times when we were the sellers and dh was out of state on the new job...it was a big stress reliever not to have to wait around for dh to fly in...

Prayers that things work out for the best. Hopefully, the sellers are accepting of the price. With the housing 'slump' they may be glad for the sale.

ChaseUdn: Love the photos! My DH and son also play around a lot while "helping" me in the garden, but over the years we have made such wonderful memories while working/playing together outside! (I will say they play a lot more than I do!) I will keep your son in my thoughts and prayers while he is in Iraq, and hope he returns safely home to you. I appreciate so much that he is willing to serve his country and the cause of freedom. I hope your weather is nice and that y'all have fun in the pool on Memorial Day. Prayers answered! My granddaughter just called and said that the surgery went well. He is in recovery and then will be kept overnight. They only did one part of the surgery and if all is well they will do the second in two weeks. They live in Missouri, and I want to much to be able to jump in the car and go see them.I haven't even been able to hold that baby yet. Jim had cataract surgery the past two weeks and finished his 15th radiation yesterday. Tomorrow we will see the Oncologist and see what comes next. Again, thank you to you Prayer Warriors.

Use one surface color/material for all the countertops since you have different colored cabinets. Why are you raising the seating area? I would extend the top at the same level as the island so you can use regular chairs or stools rather than bar height. It will open up the look of the kitchen. I would use the same countertop surface on that as well. Also, do not use the 4" backsplash. Tile the walls from countertop to the bottom of the top cabinets, and the whole area above the stove. It will look much less choppy, and is not a big expense. Or go lower at table height.

Please make sure they have a home inspection as soon as the PSA is signed. It's the best money they can spend.

Thanks everyone.
Susan-They will be able to do most of the preliminaries and paperwork by phone and fax and when the final signing is done DSIL will fly home.
Msmarion-Inspection is to be done if the offer is accepted with an inspector of DD and DSIL's choice and paid for by the seller.This house has been on the market for more than 6 months.The Realtor listing it has had it for 5 months and the price has been reduced once.Hopefully they are desperate enough to sell that they will accept the offer.DGS (he's 8) is already decorating his room and is going to be mighty disappointed if it doesn't go through.LOL

I sure will say a prayer. It would be so nice for them to have their own home. Have to love your DGS and his enthusiasm!!
