dark green /blue base cabs, light blue/grey uppers?

this has been my colour scheme for ages, and i'm getting worried about it again. i intend to have a couple of warm wood pieces--oak icebox and walnut table, plus the painted pantry in the light colour. counters and backsplash will carrera marble if the planets all align,lol.

the dark base cabs will ground the uppers, i hope. oh, and floor is dark honey cork planks.

Miles Redd did a Farrow and Ball Hague Blue butler's pantry recently. I think it's in either Elle Decor or Traditional Home or Veranda this month. It may give you a color idea. Also, I have seen a kitchen done in Pitch Blue. GORGEOUS. Cannot recall one done with darker blue green lowers and paler blue uppers, but I bet I would love it. Okay, I just searched. I'm fairly certain it's Elle Decor--the one with Suzanne Rheinstein's New York apartment on the cover.

Sarah, Here are some photos of our cabinets as our kitchen renovation is in progress. They are a Wood-Mode "designer" color that doesn't have a name, but is similar to Farrow and Ball Lichen. Hi, I don't have much specifics to add, but I think your ideas sound great. I know most of the colors you listed and have had Fen in my bedroom (lovely color). I do think Hush would go well and break up the colors and a pale creamy yellow would definitely work with the colors you list. AS for the inspiration picture I don't think the color is Borrowed light. It has more green in it on my monitor and may be F@B blue green. Borrowed light is a clearer blue like the sky. I think you could easily find a match for the one in the photo. Very similar to many SW and BM colors. Please post pics when you finish. It should look beautiful. Congrats on the new home!!

Mtnrdredux.. Not sure if you saw post on your other thread.. I took a photo of our MB with Theresa's Green and pale powder. The tricky thing with Theresa's green was the undercoat recommended by FnB - they recommend the dark undercoat which was really dark. I even called their Toronto office and talked to the main paint guy here who convinced me to give it a try.. It really seems to add a dimension to how the color feels.. Kind of like a darker petticoat under a silk gown. Every day, I catch myself looking at the color because it is such a changeling. Our bedroom faces east and I also have a couple of skylights on the ceiling. The dark wood is panel on the wall. Theresa's green is on the wall to the right. The ceiling and the wall to the left are pale powder.

I love it. Your kitchen is very fresh-looking. I just bought Kraftmaid cabinets - Rocky Mountain Sky lowers and Moonshine uppers and i am very pleased. I will post more once I have decided om backsplash.

Sounds absolutely wonderful to me, but I have light blue cabinets mixed with darker green cabinets myself, so perhaps I am biased?:-)

this is today's obsession---i'm wondering if using the gustavian grey for walls will be too cool in the room. it does have a fireplace and a full wall of eastern facing windows.
i'm trying to work carrera marble into the budget for counters and backsplash, which makes it all even more cool.
we want restful but not artic!

Your floors will do a lot to keep it warm. If you need to, you can add warm accessories. I can't remember if you like open shelves or will have cookbooks or baskets on display or something. Things like that help to add warmth.

Mine is dark gray lower cabinets, light blue/gray uppers and a maple refrigerator.
