Navy blue is one of those colors that gets a lot of respect — even from those who may not necessarily love the color or want to use it in their homes. Navy blue typically conjures up feelings of dependability, power and authority. This color also makes quite a statement when used in your home. Navy is a bold choice, but it's a classic color that can also look new and fresh, and it always gives a room that wow factor.
The blue walls give this entire room a feeling of depth. Don't be afraid to use a dark color as a backdrop for artwork or photography. The result is intriguing and eye catching here.

Navy blue is almost always a great color for a boy's room. That's because boys tend to like darker colors, and blue is usually among their favorites. Navy blue and gray create a nice contemporary color scheme for a boy's room. A blue loft bed in this space gets high marks for being cool.

Navy blue commands attention when used as an accent. Using navy to create a focal wall is a wonderful way to use this color, especially in a smaller space, where four dark walls could create a closed-in feeling.

Navy and gold together are regal and refined, but this color scheme doesn't have to feel stuffy. A lively patterned wall covering was used along with vibrant blue throw pillows in this living room. Both bring a bit of whimsy.
