would you buy a counter from a 2-person company?

So, I think enviroslab would be a terrific secondary countertop material for me - I'd like to use it in the bathrooms and laundry room. I like it better than the other recycled glass terrazzos (e.g icestone, vetrazzo) because it's resin-based rather than cement-based, so doesn't need sealing. Aesthetically, they're very similar looking.

But here's the problem: I've discovered that Enviroglass, which makes enviroslab, is a 2-person company. And that gives me pause. EG maybe they don't have the economies of scale to invest in reliable manufacturing equipment or QA processes. (I've worked at small startups and I know that things can run on a lick and a prayer sometimes.) On the other hand, maybe once I have my counter, it just doesn't matter.

What do others think? Would you buy a counter from a 2-person company? Since these counters won't be in the kitchen, I could probably live with the cement-based ones, but I'd really rather have the sealant-free and lower-worry material if I can.

thanks for any thoughts!
