Should I get a drop-in or under-mount sink
Comments (10)I was thinking about getting the Kohler Tresham drop in sink. It has a raised rim so I was thinking less water would get on the counter. I also liked that it already has the faucet holes in it so we wouldn't have to have the holes cut out. The bathtub and toilet are Kohler almond color so the sink would also be almond color. I like the look of the under-mount better and can get an almond in it. Thank you for your thoughts on this....See Moreshow me your faucet set up with undermount sinks.
Comments (66)Patches: Yes, very handy that the soap dispenser can put soap in either sink with this set up. However, it looks like you'd HAVE TO use the pulldown on the faucet to fill the big sink or fill a pot sitting in the big sink. The "reach" of the faucet spigot only comes to the top of the sink bridge. Is that a good thing? Doesn't look so handy from my photo view of this set up....See MoreUnder-mounted sink with Godmorgon
Comments (2)Well…of course you can do it--you can do almost anything if you're willing to take the trouble, but it seems to me pretty pointless to use godmorgon in this situation. You'll definitely lose the whole top drawer and may have to lose a good part of the bottom drawer, too, because of the plumbing. Godmorgon is very easy to adapt for vessel type sinks, but not so much for this. I'd honestly look for another brand that comes with an undermount sink already. This is going out of your way to make your life harder for less benefit. Personally, I wouldn't do godmorgon unless I was willing to use the ikea sinks meant for them. This look is popular enough that you should have plenty to choose from. Check out Duravit--they used to have a lot of vanities in this style, although I haven't looked lately....See MoreFaucet placement on 60/40 undermount sink
Comments (5)I was presented with the same dilemma when I recently had a similar sink installed. I asked the kitchen designer which was the "correct" placement. They advised there is no "correct" choice and it was personal taste. I told them to go ahead and do whatever they did most often. Mine is installed centred on the sink, not lined up with the 60/40 divider. It looks great and I haven't given it another thought until I saw this post. All this to say, IMO centred on the sink is a good choice!...See Morekitchenkrazed09
