What a great deal! We don't have a Dillards, but if we did, I'd be racing out to find the same duvet even though we're watching our budget because of our remodel and I need another duvet like I need another hold in my head! I just can't pass up bargains though. Keep telling my husband that I'm really "saving" us money, by not paying full price! My daughter has an antique iron bed that was refinished in ivory with a brown glaze, so it's definitely off-white. Her sheets, quilt, and dust ruffle are bright white, while her duvet is an ivory/cornflower blue/red floral print. Her walls are a dark cream color. I posted pics here when I was trying to decide if I needed to go with ivory sheets to coordinate with the bed and duvet and received advice that the white and ivory would work together well - which turned out to be true. They really complement each other nicely. I love your mirrored nightstand and crystal mirror!

My first question - how old is your son? I think the sand/sea idea could be cute, but worry that the might grow out of it quickly. To make it more of a grow with him room, I love bead board up the wall about 4.5 ft. and then either blue or red above it. At the top of the bead board I would do a little lip shelf with (if the glass isn't an age problem) little old looking bottles with rolled paper in them, a cool treasure map painted onto a canvas, plastic pirates sword, any words you want to spell, etc. I see the bed facing out on the wall opposite the closets with a Jolly Roger Hung above it (I think this on red would be awesome) The dresser would be on the wall with the door right around the end of the bed. I like the bulletin boards on the wall between the windows with black frames to match the Jolly Roger. Baseboards really aren't hard to remove, and if you are careful they can go right back up over the beadboard. I've done it several times!! The beadboard wall paper may be just the thing for you for a kids room though!

In our master bedroom we have RH's Silver Sage on the walls -- and use Ralph Lauren's Sussex Gardens comforter and shams in the summer months. Nice colors for the warmer months! Here's an older photo of our summer bed -- I do have a collection of satin comforters -- so I fold a green one or an orange one at the bottom of the bed. And the lady-in-green portrait moves into the living room for the summer now -- and another artwork lives above the bed! :)

Here's some pics of DD's room. I initially thought when I purchased the dressers(for next to nothing) that I would probably paint them white or light. The 60's barrel chair can leave the room. She has a 60's(??) dorm desk that will leave as well because it is a huge junk collector :) We like the blue paint shades and the medium toned browns. Waverly Fresh Periwinkle was a color DD liked. She's not real sure about the greens. Ironically if you watch TV, her bedding is on a commercial for the "Pedegg". The wall are white in that room. My DD is getting a kick out of this posting. She has taken an Interior Design class at school and wants to go to college to become a Family and Consumer Science teacher. The purse wallhanging was a 4H project that won special merit at out state fair. She's going to take Adv. Int. Des. next year. Maybe we need to document all of this transformation for a project!
