I love the striped one and it's close to what I'm visioning... but not sure I've sold DD on it (yet) :) roselvr - fun choices! Chris11895 - I love the company store. We have an outlet near us and all of my kids bedding so far has been from there. DD has a beach quilt right now and I hate to part with it. I did look at the separates and will likely go that route if we can't find something we like otherwise. newdawn - I love chennelle. pricklypearcactus - those are beautiful but might be a little too grown up for dd. Although, might work if other things in the room are younger. hmm. Thanks all!

In our master bedroom we have RH's Silver Sage on the walls -- and use Ralph Lauren's Sussex Gardens comforter and shams in the summer months. Nice colors for the warmer months! Here's an older photo of our summer bed -- I do have a collection of satin comforters -- so I fold a green one or an orange one at the bottom of the bed. And the lady-in-green portrait moves into the living room for the summer now -- and another artwork lives above the bed! :)

I like the bedding you picked out. Have you thought about color psychology with your kids? Red is a "hot" color -- it can lead to fighting, although I'd be more concerned about it as a wall color than as an accent color. Blue is cool and calm, so if your boys tend to fight, a pale blue would be a nice choice to offset the red in the beds. Brown (tan) can be calm and grounded, but it can also be sad and wistful to some. That said, my first thought was the beige in the flooring. You might want to read up on color psychology and think about your boys' personalities. If you can, you might observe them in different colored rooms before you make your decision, since reaction to color can be an individualized thing. Just a thought.

Ann, thank you for posting the color sample. I couldn't describe it but you had the exact word - depth. I hadn't thought of the the fabric store. What a great idea. I went to Bed Bath and Beyond yesterday and did sort of that same thing but fabric sounds perfect. Gem tones would be beautiful! When I was looking at paint samples there was a decorator in SW who asked what color I was looking for. I said the color of soft morning sunshine. She suggested this color and I love it. It's bright and cheerful in the day and warm and rich in the evening. Thanks ladies. I will let you know how it goes. Sunny
