Does anyone have the Eiffel leather chair from Crate & Barrel?

DH and I are on a spree. Decided to get a bookcase and TV console for the living room for Christmas. Ordered them (Stickley, mission oak) over the weekend and happened upon a sale, so that was great. While we were there, DH was sitting in various chairs and saying "ooh, we need a new leather chair too!" Being sensible, I got him out of there without ordering a chair. Then came home and (yes, you see it coming) started looking at this old wacky lime green chair we have in the corner and thinking mmm, yes, a nice brown leather chair would look great in that corner! I started poking around (the one DH sat in at Stickley is too big for our corner) and both DH and I really like the look of the Eiffel chair at C&B. I'm going to go see it in person and sit in it, etc... but meanwhile just wondering if anyone just happens to have personal experience with this chair!

I've had the chair for going on 8 years. We don't have the leather -- they customized it in fabric for us. I love the lines and it's a comfortable chair though not a snuggly one. It's lightly scaled and pushed into a corner. People are attracted to it and immediately want to sit in it, even with the tight upholstered back. It leans back slightly, which is nice.

Like much of C&B furniture it's moderately priced and is good quality. Not the finest or with heaviest frame but good. No regrets and we're getting good service from it.

I don't have it but I've admired it for many years! I liked the small scale with no sacrifice of seating space. I found it to be very comfortable.

I don't know the chair, but I also just bought a Stickley TV console in oak. I like that they're made in the U.S. Looking forward to delivery.

The closest store is about two hours away and I haven't been able to make it there. I've been pondering the ottoman for months and was wondering if anyone had direct experience with it. I think the tables are new. Cindy

That's it! Thank you! I think it might be perfect for the reception area in my office. I did hear back from the seller. At 67" it's the right length. Some of the folks on AT had trouble with the width and getting it through doors. Will have to measure carefully, but should be OK.

@Salina For the year we had the C&B Axis II it held up exceptionally well. Cushions looked just as they did when new. On the couple of occasions when a spill occurred, the stock Douglas fabric did what it's advertised to do - liquid rolled off and it resisted any staining. I say 'had' because we needed to leave it behind when we sold that much-too-big house for one half the size, tucked up high on a mountain top in California - where we are now. But we did like the Axis so much we're planning to buy a smaller version of it, once the remodel of the new place is complete.

We bought the C&B Gather sofa plus ottomon in leather last year.. It is the standard depth sofa and we were not able to sit in that poarticular sofa prior to ordining it. We ran into the typical delays due to supply chain issues (7 months). When it was delivered, the delivery guys dropped the sofa in the street and damaged the leather. C&B ordered a replacement (another three months). Both of us hate this sofa! It is very uncomforatable. I am 5'11" and it is too deep to comfortably site upright. The back cushions are not fastened to the sofa in any way so they are constantly slidding down. Even when pushed back, the do not provide good back support. I cannot sit in this sofa more than an hour or so before I get a backache. I wanted a sofa/ottomon combination rather than buying a sectional for the verstility so it really limited my selection of sofas. This was a big mistake. On tiop of that, dealing with C&B sales, customer support and their finance company was a real nightmare that I will never go through again.

mom270, funny coincidence! We ordered ours in oak too. We have two large Stickley Mission bookcases in oak that we splurged on about 15 years ago and I still love them as much as I did the day we bought them (this is rarely true for me and furniture purchases!). I'm only sorry we have to wait 12-14 weeks for delivery!

Very pretty chair - but, if you are using it in a corner area and are really going to sit in it. I have chairs that I NEVER sit in. I would find one that tilts back alittle or with a smaller recliner. Some recliners do not look like your tradional recliner. For the price, I would want some "movement" for comfort.

Thanks everyone. We don't really have the space in this corner for a recliner or a "snuggly" chair (unfortunately!). I still haven't gotten to the store yet to park myself in the chair, but hope to get over there next week.
