Area rug with king bed on wood floor
Comments (8)It really does depend on the other furniture in the room. I have a king with a 5x8 at the foot and it works fine- only because of the dresser, armoire and bench also prominent in the room and the traffic flow area. As far as a rug under the bed it's a personal preference, one I won't do as I like to easily dust mop underneath for constant dog hair although I do somewhat like the look of a continuous rug but then again when I see rugs under beds I think of all the dust and who cleans it....See MoreNeed a rug under table in breakfast area...what size?
Comments (1)First pull out the chairs as if people were sitting there -- and THEN measure the space for the table and chairs .... And getting the larger rug MIGHT work better ..... For a VERY clear view of the possible size of the rug: Shift the table and chairs out of the area -- then open newspaper pages and create (with your measurements -- 5 x 7 or 8ft.; 6 x 9ft.) a fake "rug" -- Move the table and chairs back into the place -- and you'll see which size would be your best rug size!...See MoreLooking for a modern paint color to go with this King size bed?
Comments (14)You can use a neutral paint color in the main area of the home and colors in the bedrooms and bathrooms rather than have a single color for all walls in the entire home. I am not sure why anyone would select trim color before wall color, but you have selected White Dove. It is a nice neutral creamy (slightly yellow, grayish) off white, so now you need to select wall color based on both your desired outcome and the trim color plus any items that must stay. (Like this bed). I would probably go with a blue/blue green color. To make the White Dove feel white you will need a bit more color, not the lightest pastels. I would start with Benjamin Moore Beach Glass. I looked at Quiet Moments as well and love it with the bed, but I think the Beach Glass works better with the White Dove....See MoreKing Size Quilt Stuck Under the Agitator
Comments (7)Yea, not much you can do but what's been said above. I used to put our king size blankets, comforters, duvets, quilts, etc...in the bathtub and stomp on them with my feet for a while, let soak for an hour, then let the water out and rinse, with more stomping on them. We've since moved down to a queen bed and things fit in our Speen Queen top loader now. I have plenty of laundromat experiences, but armjim is right--the gross things people wash at the laundromat...plus our laundry always came back with the unpleasant smell of other people on it. Eww. I still take pillows there (not during covid) to be washed, but I chemical bomb them there and dry the #%$& out of them on mega hot at home for hours. Still not ideal, but it's either that or replace pillows every few months. But if you have a well maintained laundromat, it can be a good experience. Sorry this happened to you. I hope your beloved GE washer is alright....See Morereno_fan
