Ivory is the first thing that came to mind...

Thank for taking time to post, perhaps ivory might just work. There is a gold tone thread and a little dark green, but I have hated the green walls since right after we painted!

I agree, a soft ivory or creme. Then bring in a little stronger 3rd color for accents.

I also like the Ivory suggestion. But do you really want to paint a room because of the bedding color? Bedding wears out or we get sick of it, so having to paint the walls every time we get new bedding isn't very appealing. Probably because I hate to paint. lol

I might go a bit darker than ivory, a cafe au lait, coffee with lots of milk. Maybe ivory drapes, though, to filter the light, with shades/blinds behind to block the light. Accents should definitely bring in some colors, so you won't be all in the Brown family, which is dreary, so the mauve, maybe rose, green, soft reds or golds.

But unless you love the bedding, why not figure out what colors you do love, and start from scratch?

Look at SW Believable Buff if you want something neutral, but with a little more color than Ivory. It is a nice light golden tan - and my monitor is picking up a golden beige in your bedding. BB is also a good color should you change your bedding. It works with a lot of colors.

I had that same bedding for many years, I really liked it as it had some purple shades mixed in.

I think it depends on the color of your furniture, my furniture was a light washed look and I used a tan/camel on the walls. My carpet was beige. I used purple accents in the room.

To braider, there is absolutely no mauve purple in my bedding.
I am sorry, but I do not have the luxury to get tired of perfectly good bedding, as we have NEVER slept under it and it was for me very pricey! While I realize perhaps it is not "in style" it still looks brand new, I tend to take very good care of my things. I am retirement age, and from a time that "things were not disposable", and I still like the bedding just not the paint color of the walls.
Just so you know, my microwave is 29 years old, my toaster is 46 years old, as is my marriage! My kitchen is BUTT ugly and so far I must live with it.
However, I am doing the best I can to make my house look lovely and not look like "old people" as I can.
You all just seem so friendly and helpful, and you have been, so thanks to those who tried to point this old lady in the correct direction.
