If you want green, then go for it. I wouldn't worry about what color the other walls are. After all, this is your bedroom, not a public space.

That said, I could see doing the warmer gold color that is in some of the patchwork in the bedding, and using red or burgundy for accents - maybe even the feature wall on which the bed will be located.

I might do a very warm cream in there, or something in the softest hint of gold. Very pretty bedding!

It's beautiful bedding. I like the gold wall that is featured. I'd go with the lighter gold/tan that is on the comforter. Because the bedding is already very patterned, I think a green would be too much contrast and take away from the beauty of the comforter. May I ask where you purchased the bedding?

I'm not a green person so personnally I would go for gold, but if you like green then go for it.

I think I would pick out the lighter green on the inside of the paisley pattern.

If you decide on a soft gold/tan type color...look at Sherwin Williams Blonde...or a bit lighter than blonde on same strip. I think it's a great color, we've used it a lot in homes and really works with everything. Think it would be beautiful with your bedding!

It may be my monitor, but I'm not seeing red-more of a lovely terra cotta.

I also immediately thought of a soft dusky cloudy rosy pale terracotta...it would also look gorgeous from outside the room, through the green hall color...

I think that the right rosy terracotta color would look very pretty w/ the gree hall. My first thought though was also of a rich dark cream color. Your bedding is quite pretty!

OMG I LOVE that color! I will TOTALLY do it if someone can get me the color. I always think Im buying the right one and when I get home its disgusting! If I can get a name Ill buy it and start asap!

Waaaaaah! When I printed it out to take it to the store i came out like a cranberry red..

Take a pillow sham with the terra cotta color in it to your Sherwin Williams store. They can do a computer color match and make you a sample pot of the color to try on the wall.

It's hard to pick a color from a little 2" sample strip. Also, what looks good in someone else's house may look totally different in yours due to natural lighting etc.

Once you have your sample pot, you can tweak it a bit if you want it redder or more rust etc. I was amazed at how helpful the paint people are at SW if you ask them.

I think that the color in the picture is gorgeous, but that a paler shade of the same thing...a softer, dustier one...would give you more the effect you want. Take a close look at the picture, and you see that the bit closest to the camera, with reflected sunlight on it, seems closer to what you might like than the way it looks up in the corner, where you see that it's actually quite deep. Reds always seem stronger on the wall than on the chip...I would suggest that you take a look at these Duron colors (it's the only fandeck I have at hand just now...teach me to lend those out!)

They are all more flower-pot colored than pink, and have a soft earthy quality to them that I think would work for you?

What is the light like in your room?

Here are some other colors to check out that are similar to the picture (incandescent light now). Hard to say what they would do in your room and can't see them in daylight.

maybe Bold Brick SW6327.

Sometimes the right color is something in between.

Well I painted my room a reddish color. Its not the color I thought it would be but its much nicer than purple! Pictures soon to come!

oh and the bedding has been discontinued from JCP.
