Hi!

We are mid-remodel and I am second guessing my choices! 2 issues, cabinets + countertops.

Issue #1- Cabinet Color??? Originally planned to have kitchen cabinets (professionally) repainted:

- Lowers: SW Tricorn Black

- Uppers: SW Pure White

- Cabinet hardware (Brass Gold)

Now considering doing ALL cabinets in a mushroom / putty color - exact color TBD (Cabinet Co uses Dunn Edwards paint) but here's inspiration photos / links:

New Color Scheme of House: Most of the house is painted in SW Repose Gray, lightened by 50%;

Trim + Base = SW Pure White, accents = SW Tricorn Black

What to do w/ cabinets?

Option #1- Black + White? Option #2- Mushroom-y?

Something else?? (I don't want gray).

Issue #2- Countertops

Existing counters are granite and not at all my ideal color(s).

However, the cut/finish is nice (thick edges)and they are quite practical (hide a multitude of sins).

I do feel wasteful getting new stone to replace quality stone, even if they're not my taste.

The problem is, I just can't seem to make them work w/ anything else (almost all of the inspiration photos I'm drawn have white quartz/marble etc.).

What to do... Keep or Replace? If replace, with ????
