When we were doing our bathroom upstairs, I wanted something different for the window and found a woman there who made valances. Her workmanship was fabulous and I was really happy with the transaction. My favorite thing about it is it's more unique so every other house in the area doesn't have the same thing. "You can sheetrock right to the edges of the panel. No problem at all with that. Some AHJs are more 'tolerant' than others of decorative covers like shutters. I have done a number with a door that meets the access rules but is set only a few inches from the face of the panel, preventing anything from being stored in the 2 inch deep 'closet'. If you do finish all the way to the edges, be prepared for the repairs when you need to add new circuits. Sometimes you can snake a new cable in with a cable clamp attached and get it into a knockout, but many times you end up just cutting into the drywall.

Hello, i was hoping someone can help me with a delimma i am having with my Ikea Sektion cabinets. As you can see in my picture, the drawer front on the left does not come all the way down to cover the rest of the base cabinet like the other two beside. The runner is all the way to the bottom, I’ve tried turning the little screw in the drawer but it doesn’t lower it enough to cover that white part at the bottom and I have installed the fronts according to the instructions. I did call Ikea trying to explain the issue and they said it could be a ”quality” thing and nothing can be done. But why would other cabinets in the series not be like this?? if anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated!! i am getting very frustrated and just want that little white patch covered.
