LowE2 vs LowE3 Recommendation

I have read quite a bit on the differences between LowE2 vs LowE3 (thank you Oberon). And I have already met with a few companies and typically they offer the LowE2 (e.g., Cardinal LoE2, Solarban60) type window as standard, but can get LowE3 (e.g., LoE366, Solarban70) if I want.

Certainly, one might be inclined to think that latest/newest technology is always better. But I am not sure about that. I live in Seattle where we have 3-4 months of sun during the summer. Much of the rest of the year is rainy and/or overcast. The temps rarely dip below 30F. So I have heard that LowE2 may actually be better because the windows are not as dark and will allow for more solar gain during colder winter months. Not sure if all this is true but would love some advice on which way to go. Thanks....Capt
