Need ideas for furnishing living room/dining room.
Comments (10)congrats on your new condo! she is lovely in and out. Well, I am sure we could help you make the inside look more like the outside. but i have to say the inside looks just like newly built houses. so that is more your choice i think. and perhaps you just want to use what you have and add a few pieces that will give you more of the look you want, but it does not have to match the exterior. you mentioned a lot of pics from around the world, I am guessing you want to know how to use. I have collected some idea. the one thing that is universal is using the same color frames. you can use varied but you have to have more skills to make it work.in a black frameanother external frame main subject in center bits of subject around.this is a set of family pics in a format....See MoreHelp with open-concept living room/dining room furnishings
Comments (23)Great, Sally. Hope we didn't overwhelm you with too much information. Most of us do go for a holistic approach to space since no single element exists in a room by itself; they connect through layout, style, finishes, palettes. Sometimes the "problem child" isn't the actual problem, or the only problem, and getting a bunch of alternative suggestions can be useful. Your room is lovely as is, frankly. If you are getting wood flooring, that will definitely modernize the room without your doing anything else. Feel free to post again with all the details at the outset--i.e. not loving the paint, getting wood floors, etc.--then people won't chime in with too much information. Good luck with your new home. You have beautiful pieces....See MoreFurnish living room and dining room
Comments (68)Place the longer sofa facing the TV. It makes the most sense for viewing the TV. I would place a console behind the sofa with its back to what i assume is the entrance. Place the two slipper chairs side by side where the sofa is in front of the window ....See MoreLiving Room Furnishing Dilemma
Comments (7)THanks for the extra info.I ould remove the french doors or have them made to slide instead that will free up some space then you could possibly have 2 sitting areas .It seems od to have an entry to a kids room from this space is there no ther way to handle that? All the window coverings are not right for the space and should all match . IMO yuse the entry area as an entry with maybe a nice console table under the window to the right of the entry . Where do you hang coats ? You might be able to do a sofa and 2 chairs in the TV space if the chairs are not too wide maybe one on either side of the sofa facing eachother .Maybe the console could jhave 2 ottomans under neath to pull out for extra seating for kids ....See MoreRelated Professionals
