Have you seen any of the glass painting books from Plaid? They have some really cute designs. Are you using regular brushes, or have you discovered the extra soft ones especially made for glass painting? So when is martini time? ;o) Luvs

Thanks! I'm planning to make a set of six in different colors (so people can keep track of their glasses) for my daughter and a set for myself. I'm donating the rejects to a charity thrift shop, figuring somebody might like them.

I can tell you are really having fun with your metalic paints.

The funny thing is, metallic paints never appealed to me, and I have only a $5.99 set of tiny pots of them. But I do like their shimmer. Last night I made a couple using non-metallic paints, and I think I like these even better. I'll post a picture below. I used Amethyst paint and worked in a little burgundy and yellow. Metallic or not, the effect of seeing the flower at the bottom when one drinks out of the glass is nice, I think.

Nope. I have three books, and just snagged a fourth on eBay, but none are from Plaid. I'll have to keep an eye out.

You guys are so much more advanced than I! I didn't know special brushes existed. I bought several sables and several white nylon. The martini glasses were done with the latter.

So when is martini time?

Ah, that one I can answer! I haven't entertained in a long time, but I'm hoping these glasses will inspire me to gather some friends together.
