Seeking input on bedroom

I have posted my bedroom before on this forum, but am now in the process of moving forward with a couple of things. I'm posting the photos below and am wanting to buy a new nightstand and wondering what I should do for window treatments.

The dressers I have in there are a mishmash, but this is one to give you an idea:

I'm wondering if I could go with this this nightstand (and I don't know how to put the photo into this post, so here is a link to it:

Do you think I can use a wood nightstand, or would I be better with white. I'm also concerned as you can see the room isn't very big and so thinking I should be using something a little more airy. I will also be replacing the windows in this room to match this one:

What would you do for window treatments? I had thought about white sheers that would sweep to each side of the bed, but now I'm thinking I might be better with roman shades. I'm stuck. Anybody have ideas?? wig

What are your goals for your windows? I know you are replacing them, but are they staying the same size? Will you be leaving their current shades on them, and then adding to it?

I don't have goals for them other than they will stay the same size. The moulding will be much nicer than what is currently on there so I kind of think I shouldn't cover them, but am not firm on that. Since the headboard covers a little of each window that throws me too in terms of how to handle that. (The bed would not fit in any other configuration in the room.) The faux wood blinds could go or not. I think I get stuck as the sweep of a sheer seems more 'country' to me and I'm not sure thats the look I want. These are my thoughts ... I just can't seem to get past them on moving forward confidently. : ( wig

Can you solve the door issue for Room C by making it an outswing? When open it would then be against the wall with what I assume is some kind of air return / chase. In your bathroom you might also gain some privacy for the toilet by pushing the shower up towards the closet and then putting the toilet on the shower side. Then you can put the linen closet or cabinet across from the toilet (that could also hold toilet paper for when you realize you're out ;) Would be shallower but the back of a 40" deep linen closet would probably be fairly inaccessible anyway. Would perhaps be less private when using the vanity because of the mirror, but do you generally use the toilet when someone else is in the room anyway?

It will not have a foundation suitable to a residence, etc. It has water issues now, and as you can see, the whole yard needs to be regraded away from the house instead of towards it. And that is whether or not it becomes a habitable space. The yard is graded poorly. Your roof needs insulation to code requirements even if it didn’t have to be rebuilt. The current electrical service to the room will be insufficient for a modern bedroom and climate control. If you haven’t upgraded the home to a modern 200 amp service, that’s going to have to happen first. Where IS the nearest bathroom serving that? Do you think any AirBnB guest wants to have to go outside a virtual garden shed and into someone else’s house to take a shower or use the toilet? Not in this lifetime. Your bed is beautiful! I love your paint color and your chair works in this space. I would like to see you remove everything from the walls and all furniture except the bed, chair, dresser and bedside tables. You have the makings for an elegant, tranquil bedroom; the treadmill and the large wall-mounted digital picture frame are intruding upon that. I agree that the TV should be mounted above the dresser, and that your windows should be unobstructed. Additionally, the valences and blonds are contributing to the dated look in this room. Suggestions for you: 1. Using a corner drapery rod, add simple drapes, such as these: 2. Sheets: 3. Coverlet: 4. Pillow shams: 5. Have a bolster made for your bed in a saturated teal velvet, something like this: 6. Bedside lamps: 7. Nothing above the bed. With a TV above the dresser, your eye needs someplace to rest; I think I’d leave the rest of your walls bare (you’ll notice your pretty paint color more that way!) with the exception of one favorite framed piece - maybe the one on the wall between your TV and window. (I can’t tell you where to hand it without views of the other 2 walls)

Are you installing it yourself? If money is a concern you have to take labor into consideration. I would think tile is more labor intensive than vinyl. Plus you say the tile is a "near" match, yet it is 18x18 not 20x20. if it touches the other tile it WILL look different no matter what the color. Instead of trying to near match what you have can you go with something completley different? Also why are you replacing carpet in bedrooms, most people want carpeting because its warmer on bare feet and cozier in a bedroom.

I wouldn't change out the wood blinds until the new windows are in. Installing windows can alter the size a little. In the meantime I'd buy sheers and I can suggest Nate Birkus sheers. I purchased mine at Linens and Things and I love them. They are a linen look with a very muted stripe in a muted white and totally transparant. We call them the ghost curtains lol. I only used one panel on each window so they'd be minimalist and it looks fab. I know have them on my french doors too. Love them.

I am thinking of getting these panels.
The windows are roughly 35" wide, and 82" from top of window molding to floor. It says the panels are 52" wide per panel, with a 3" rod pocket. If I was going to drape it so that it was pulled back to just one side, would the width of one panel be enough and would I go with the 84" length since it would be draped? If it has a 3" rod pocket, what size rod would I use? I know these are probably pretty elementary questions, but would appreciate your help. Thanks! wig
