Bee Sting

I was at a park yesterday and got stung by something, I"m assuming a bee. I felt a little pinch, then about 1-2 minutes of stinging/burning pain on my side. I can see the little sting site. My only question is since then, the "injection" site, has gotten redder and redder and larger. It started swelling maybe a dime size, then by afternnon a quarter and this morning it's about a half dollar size! It doesn't hurt, unless I start picking and poking at it. The swelling has gone down, so it's basically flat, just very red.

I looked on some internet sites, but I couldn't find any that show a picture of what my sting looks like. I guess since it doesn't hurt, and I had no bad side effects that it's fine, but I"m just curious.

I'm assuming it was a bee, but I haven't been stung since I was a kid. Is the reddish spot normal for a bee sting?
