Good morning all. We are having very nice weather today, I believe the high will only be 70 and sun, no rain. Everything is green and growing. Is anyone picking cherries? Amber has been getting some from her tree. I don't have one anymore. I had a very nice tree at one time and I would get a few cherries, then one year it really out did itself. I had so many cherries! Then that summer all the leaves turned brown and by next spring it was dead. I have no idea what happened to it. I have housework to do today and laundry. If I have the time and energy, I might get to do some more sewing. There is no planned baking going on today. Hope all have a good day and tell us what you are doing?

Good morning yourself! It's a sunny day in Long Island, 70 now, 75 later. we had a lot of humidity the last few days but a cold front pushed the humidity and all those threatened thunder storms away. I have 2 cherry trees in my yard, but the birds like cherries so much, and they get all of them, even the high ones. So I'll have to go to the store for cherries. Hubby has a doctor appointment at 12:30 so that pretty much kills my afternoon.

Aloha, from Hilo! Just ate lunch, warm and sunny here, in the 80s. It rains every day here but only long enough to cool it off.

I'm seriously thinking of retiring here in about 9 years. Love the downtown Farmer's Market and I can eat sushi everyday if I want too-lol.

I've never seen bedbugs except for the pictures on the web. Kath, I hope you had no hitchhikers. You certainly took plenty of precautions, I bet you'll be fine. One of the conference rooms at work had been infested with them. The managers wisely selected a different room for meetings for about a month. The exterminators were in on the day they were first seen. Speaking of bugs, today, I am finishing up debugging the tropicals that spend summer outside in prep for bringing them in for winter. We are supposed to get into the thirties Friday and Saturday evening. I used to always use a systemic, but this year I am trying something that I saw on Facebook. I am submerging the pots and as much foliage as possible in soapy water for half an hour. I am wiping all parts that cannot be submerged with the same soapy water, then rinsing when I pull them out. In theory, this is a great idea, but I have been using more and more lightweight foam pots to save my back. Foam pots float :-) I've been settling for allowing them to float sort of sideways and rotating the pot so all areas are submerged at some point for 30 minutes. We'll see if this helps with fungus gnats. I only have the 4 biggest left to do today, I got 8 smaller pots yesterday.

Paint: I would wait on selecting a color until you have your furniture and accessories chosen. The present color (in picture anyway) feels washed out and a creamy white would be more modern and crisp. - Built in‘s/tv location: with the width on both sides of fireplace being different, you’ll have to configure bookcases accordingly, if going that route. Suggest holding off on making a mantle change until you figure out wall - try to envision whole wall in your decisions Really like look below - Seating layout: really like your inspiration picture and as per the layout, centre to fireplace.
