I wish her all the best. She should have won, but sadly, the media ripped her apart over her "rant". Given her life circumstances, her difficulty dealing with instant fame is understandable. I hope Simon will help her launch a successful career. Good luck, Susan!

I think that if she wants it the career is hers. I also think that so many people were nipping at her heels and hoping to see her fall apart. How pitiful. Like sharks drawn to the blood. I hope she has a wonderful life.

I hope Susan stays the same. I wouldn't mind buying an album if she puts one out, but I hope she doesn't feel she has to change. The pressure must be tremendous. Here's to some R & R for a real-life down to earth talent!

I hope she does really well. Coming in second may have been a blessing in disguise. She can now do what she does best without all the public scrutiny. Can't wait to buy her album.

I would probably do the same thing.

I hope she gets help, then quietly returns to the recording world. She may not be a glamorous star like Cher or Shakira, but she has a great voice.

I feel for the woman. I wish her well.

I say this again. . . I wish she had been left alone to be herself, and not "made over" at all. There was nothing wrong with her appearance and the "make over" probably upset the way she saw herself. Maybe a little inferior at that point, which caught up with her at the end.

I hope she finds the real Susan and gets back on track.

Sue va and I feel the same. My prayers are with Susan. I think she has a remarkable voice and God-given talent.

Good thoughts for Susan.

There are two sides or more to every situation. I have compassion for her, but wonder why her family is not helping--does she want them? is she very independent and maybe not listening to them? it she being given the guidance to help her make some important decisions? is she willing or more so able to get this help. I have a relative similar to this and she refuses to even listen to anyone and has put herself in several precarious positions.
When she gets out I do wish she has a good support group of friends/family that will guide and protect her.

Her brother noticed the strain weeks ago and tried to encourage her to leave the show altogether.

I wish the best for her and will buy any CD she releases.

The past (what has it been-2 months?) several weeks must have been an awful stress, even if she didn't notice it at first. Susan may have wanted to finish what she started- she has proved to both herself and all of us what a wonderful voice she has! Now that she has done this, she deserves a well earned rest- and whatever else she needs to cope with instant celebrity status! If only more 'stars' would seek emotional/physical support after such a grueling competition!
Rest well Susan- we are eagerly awaiting some songs!
