He does have a beautiful voice and his story is very sad. Sadder yet, is that a child (even a child so far away as in Korea) has to grow up in these circumstances. And if this one child did, so did many others. It's also sad that we feel so touched by him, because he has a beautiful voice, and yet not by the many others whose circumstances are just as bad but who do not have the beautiful voice. I know I'm rambling.. it's just that his story filled me with sadness. I hope he goes on to live long and well.

Aww he's so sweet. A lot of people grow up and exist in unfathomable conditions. It really puts perspective on what we deem to be our "rich people" annoyances. I'm not saying our society doesn't have real problems, as we certainly do, but I mean the little things, like the fact that I was annoyed that the salon I stopped by yesterday was out of my favorite color of $12 nail polish. This makes me feel silly in comparison.

Thanks for the link - what a life he's led. It does remind me how blessed we've been. I hope he finds great happiness in his future.

What a sweet boy and what a great talent. I hope he wins it all. He deserves it.

The voice is beautiful but I find his story a bit hard to believe. I know lots of kids esp in other countries do not get to go to school. I find it hard to believe that he skipped everything, took a test and just landed in high school. Where did he learn how to read? He had to have had someone in his life that showed him this. I have no doubt that he had a hard life, I'm just curious to find out the rest of the story. Hope this can come out someday.

He has a very good voice and I hope that he gets a chance to employ it. He also knows how to properly use a microphone. Somewhere along the way, he has aquired that skill.
