I sampled it on Amazon. She sounds great, but I don't know if I'd want to listen to "Silent Night" all year round. It seems like an odd choice. Certainly is an eclectic collection of songs.

I sent for two, one for me and one as a Christmas gift for my daughter. I listened to the sampling of songs and my only complaint is one I have with my Sandi Patty cds too, the background music is so loud it is difficult to hear the singer, which is really what I want.

I bought hers too, paid full price LOL I love her singing. She truely has an amazing voice. this lady is is who our daughters should emulate. "YOU CAN DO ANYTHING" Her story is inspiring......Sandy

The only song I'm not crazy about is "Daydream Believer". Never liked the Monkees version either.
Love all the other songs.

There's going to be a TV program on December 13. I am not sure what channel.

Would we have to watch it on the TV guide channel? That only shows up as a half screen for me.

I bought the CD for my Mom for Christmas, and DH wants it as well. It wasn't easy finding it!
I agree.....kind of an odd playlist, but I'm looking forward to hearing her voice. I just mentioned to DH the other day that I would love to hear her sing "Oh Holy Night". We figured next year she would have a Christmas CD out. I was quite surprised to see that she has Silent Nite on it. I think Mom and DH will be pleased.

I pre-ordered it and got it last week. I just love it. I wondered if I would be as moved with "I Dreamed a Dream" as I was with the original video and I am! It's my favorite song on the CD.

Rats! We don't get the TV Guide Channel! I wonder if they will show it on another channel. Dang!!!

I ordered both from Amazon and received them on Friday. I love both of them but have been mostly listening to Bocelli. Liz is correct, it is so awesome. My favorite is "The Lord's Prayer; I end up in tears every time. Did anyone see the PBS special? I can't get that channel but have the DVD on pre-order. I did watch the few youtube video's and the one with Reba is nice and I just loved him singing with the kids and The Muppets!

Funny you should mention that you listened to it while painting. My husband was having a heck of a time painting one of our bathrooms. He was man growling (not an attractive trait) and messing up the edging.

I opened my newly purchased Susan Boyle CD for him to listen to and her voice calmed the savage beast! He was a much kinder and happier painter by the end. The room looks nice.

Andrea Bocelli's CD is next on my list.

You know, Kim, I think you have touched on something about Susan Boyle. I really believe that her voice is transformational. I can't tell you how many times listening to her has brightened my day. I think there is really something "otherworldly" about her voice.

I had preordered Susan Boyle's CD from Amazon.com, and it was delivered on the day it was officially released. As BigBaby (Sue) just said, "I really believe that her voice is transformational." She has the most beautiful, clear, pure voice. Her voice brings tears to my eyes, it is that pure.

And, Kim, I can totally understand how listening to this CD brought calm to your husband while he was painting!
