It's nice. Still looks like her, only better. I have never been so happy to see someone get their 15 minutes of fame. I hope that she gets everything she wants from this experience, whether it's a fun experience or a music career. She doesn't strike me as the kind in it for celebrity status, but I'm glad she's enjoying herself. She is just a pleasure to listen to, whether she's singing or just answering questions, she makes me smile. ;o)

Let's all hope the record companies don't force her to get thin, go blonde and get hair extensions. All the singers look the same to me.

I agree with the others. Still Susan. Just a bit updated. I wouldn't even call it a make "over". Whoever gave her the look didn't try to make her into something she obviously isn't, just made her look more in keeping with the times. And I agree, she'll see more than 15 minutes of fame. Go Susan!

I don't post much but I am thrilled for Susan and I am happy that so many folks are appreciating her talent and NOT criticizing her looks. Actually, with that voice, I find her extraordinarily beautiful.

Those are the kind of makeovers that I like. They didn't make her into something she is not. Good for her!!!!

I didn't think she looked as bad as people were saying before. But then I'm pretty unimpressed by surface beauty. Especially when it's achieved by so much primping and fussing that some women use up a third of their lives on looking good instead of living good.

I think the leather jacket went a bit far - not really "her", but otherwise a good job. This is something I wouldn't call a "makeover" Essentially clean, comb, shower & shave type thing. Most "makeovers" are so exaggerated and non-natural. This looks more natural and she should feel good. I've only heard small bits of her singing but I do feel a lot better about her getting the attention that so many of the others in the media focus.

Shequit, what if she didn't have "that voice." Would you still find her beautiful? Or is she only beautiful because she has an extraordinary talent? And what about the less-than-beautiful women who don't have an extraordinary talent?

Frankly, I wish they'd left her as they found her. I'm weary of the world's elusive and fickle ideas about beauty. Confucius said, "Everything has beauty, but not everyone can see it."

Changing her style isn't going to make her voice any more beautiful. Or could it actually make her self-conscious, thereby losing some of that fantastic quality she has?

You have to admire her... how many people would spend most of their adult life taking care of their mom.. I read early on that she left drama school at an early age... when you're on the 'dole' -- there's not a lot of cash for fancy duds... I say she goes for it & enjoys her time, however long it may be, of fame. Who wouldn't want to make the most of their looks... I plucked my eyebrows in college..and they were something along what she had... You go girl!!

She has a strong sense of self and wouldn't have let them dress her or make her over in a way that she is not comfortable. That's my feeling.

I think she looks beautiful in her new look. But...I also loved the way she looked before. Why does anyone think they have to "remake" someone? What was so wrong with her original look? I think she was absolutely beautiful in her original look.

She sings like an angel....makes me tear up everytime I hear her sing.

I like her before and after. I hope this is as far as they"make her over". Her voice is a one of a kind. I saw a youtube of her singing 25 years ago, and she was wonderful then too .

I like her after look; they only did as much as could be done without being exagerated. Now she looks like she paid a little attention to herself; before, it was almost a "neglected" look, really not flattering on an older woman.

Her before look really contributed to the whole surprise package.

I think she was adorable and I think she still is with her makeover. I'm glad the caterpillars on her face have been tamed a bit!

I think she looked fine before and she looks fine now. But when does she sing again? I know nothing about this/these shows. Can someone fill me in?
