Chandra, I would like to send some mineral to the plant exchange. I am closer to being at the toxic level than I am of having too little. I feel I am walking a thin line, I want to build my soil with organic matter but I already have above optimum in Zn, P, and K, and if I don't keep the PH at the proper lever Fe can be a problem. I have been thinking about growing corn in that garden and feeding the stalks to the cattle, of shredding them and tilling them into my new garden. I have not tested it yet so I have no idea what the mineral count in it is. I only started the new garden last year and it has few amendments in it. Larry

Glad that it wasn't a bang on the driver's door, girl! Not long after I got this car, I thought that I went into an intersection on a green ... and a car that came through three lanes hit on the driver's side ... but back at the back tire area. I was ... substantially ... very substantially ... thankful! It seemed to be the general concensus that I'd run a red light ... but I figure that he ran a yellow, as when my car had been turned around about 180 degrees - there, staring at me through the windsheld, was a green light, in the same direction that I'd been travelling ... and if I'd run a red light, it should have been red! Anyway - I also like to pick spaces in parking lots where I can drive out (but must confess to being a bit too lazy/(mis-guided?) to back into empty spaces). I hear that a bit of a longer walk is good for one's constitution? By the way ... did you say that the grandkid is wanting a car? Hhm-mm-mm-m! Hope that the rest of your weekend goes better. I, too, value my wheels ... and one needs be extra careful around here, for if one in 70s or higher is in a fender-bender or two, one is liable to get a letter from the Ministry of Transportation to say that they are cancelling one's driving permit. We have a discussion session of about an hour and a half with about a dozen others, with a test of knowledge and signs, with some being selected for a driving test, every two years after age 80. ole joyful P.S. As I was fairly sure that there were still quite a few good miles in that little 20-year-old Mazda that I'd bought only a few months earlier, after the accident I chose to repair it, at a cost larger than I'd paid for it ... partly for environmental reasons, as it costs a great deal of scarce and precious fuel to dig iron ore from the ground, smelt it, then carry it through all of the manufacturing operations ... plus add quite a lot of petroleum-based plastic, to build a new one, but repair is mainly a lot of work. In addition to the amount that's added to global warming ... and pollution. o j

Great ideas ! The vet gave her Rimadyl for pain and antibiotics (just incase) Right now - I put a sock over her bandage . ( one of my old ones that I bought way too small. ) I taped the top and so far she hasn't bothered it. DH & I have to be gone tonight for about 4 hours - I just know the little stinker is waiting till we leave to have at it. I think I'm going to do what was suggested - go get some bandage stuff and wrap her foot up really good . At least this time if she tugs at it while we're gone - it'll take her till we get home to get it off. I'm off to check the site on how to wrap it. Thanks sooo much for the help . Believe me - she is never going NEAR our gate again (wasn't closed tightly )and she saw a dog across the street . Totally our fault and I'm sure we'll feel guilty about this the rest of our lives.Anyway - I'm so glad I have this forum to help me ! ((everyone))

Update: Things apear to be going well. The hole in his chest is beginning to heal from the inside out, I think (hard to tell since I see it 2x a day). Talk about a couple of crazy ol' folks....here's the image of DH and I doing his hydrotherapy. The only place we can do it is in the bathroom due to the cold weather. That bath is galley or hall shape, long and skinny. We put him on a thin piece of foam that's covered with an absorbent bathmat. I sit on the side of the tub and for 10-15 minutes spray tepid water directly into the wound. About every 30 seconds I stop and dump the runoff out of the cake pan we are using as a catch basin. It's a 9x14, glass and VERY heavy as I lift and twist to dump it in the tub. About 50% of the time, he lays down so far from the tub that I do the spraying leaning forward as far as possible. This happens twice a day, with the first treatment at 4:45AM so DH can get to work by 6. While we're stressing, Poco dozes off! By the time we have him dried and re-dressed the whole process takes 30-45 minutes. BUT, we've got the cleanest bathroom floor in town! LOL!! Got to walk him for the first time yesterday...not far, just a couple of blocks, but it's a start. You should've seen the looks we got from passers-by! Don't understand it...haven't they ever seen a big dog in a sleevless t-shirt strolling down the sidewalk before?!?!? Thanx for your continuing prayers! They're certainly helping him and us! Pat
