Finallllly got my car back....

.. after they had it for 5 days. I'd posted on Monday that the engine had died driving along @ highway speed. It had happened once 7 months ago & then last Friday & also on Sunday.

The Ford service dept. never did find any "codes" for the problem, nor could they replicate it in their test drives.

But they went ahead & replaced the *throttle body*, because the service manager said there have been other similar reports & that seemed to have fixed things.

Sooooo here's hoping that the problem is SOLVED & I never have to deal with that situation again. If it should happen, I am at least "mentally" prepared, if necessary, to throw the car into neutral, turn the key off then right back on to restart it. He said this should work IF I'm not in a position to get the car off the road.
