I started out on kitchens too, but moved over here. Look in the gallery, or search for mudroom pics, there have been some really nice ones lately. Or start a thread, show me your mudrooms, these peeps are so talented!

I can sympathize with the packrat thing. As soon as I get rid of something, sure enough, I need it. That kind of thinking gets cumulative results over the years, so good for you for gritting your teeth and purging.

The great news is Craigslist is free advertising, and theoretically at least, we can sell what we don't want and buy what we do want at bargain prices, so it's a win-win.

If you close this thread, you will see a link to our Gallery near-top right, and at page bottom. Click on that. Then go to the bottom of the page and use the search engine to find the thread on Laundy Rooms (or use "find" if it's on front page). There are threads there for every room in the house (some double up). It's like getting a ton of decorating magazines free only you don't have to leaf through tons of ads to find the goodies, and you don't have to find a pack-rat place to store them in the house. :o) The good stuff is pretty much on page 1 and page 2.

If you see pics you love the most, save them to a folder on your own computer. Then you can try to figure what they have in common. You can use any as inspiration pix. I also like to go in there with a quesiton, like, "what should I put on my coffee table?" I'll look at the living rooms thread for a few minutes and I'll know just what I've got to put there.

Hey loves2cook. Nice to see you here. I started posting on this forum after my kitchen was done. I haven't been spending much time or money on my interior lately because I am working on my yard. Plus I want to get a concrete driveway. (Much more expensive than I thought it would me :(

Anyway, good luck on your projects. I have always been such a fan of your funky kitchen. I am excited to see what you are doing with the rest of your house.

I rembember you from the KF! welcome. A lot of decorating is done here on a paupers budget, my favs being CL or Goodwill hunting.

Welcome! I hope to head to the kitchen forum very, very soon but have been hesitant to go there until I have my money in hand and am ready to actually begin the project.

I'm a PTSAHM of 3 working on de-cluttering w/ very good success so far. This yr. I have gotten into a really good place to actually DO instead of wish and mutter.

One of my current projects was to de-clutter my mudroom and also make it more functional and pretty (I'm preparing house to go the market this yr.). So far so good! I finally got my refrigerator out of the mudroom and into the kitchen. Now you've motivated me to get my hutch out of the hallway (that's here it's ended up in it's journey from the office to the mudroom) into the mudroom this wknd. Maybe we can post updates together for motivation?

ttod, thanks for the welcome. Glad I could be of inspiration to someone. I seem to be spending too much time on the computer and not enough decluttering but I promise to at least cut the foam for the tree this weekend.

Welcome! I've never introduced myself, but I started on the KF this spring when we started our kitchen remodel. We're not quite done yet, but I moved here for help with color choices and whatnot.
I was a SAHM and then 3 years ago started working part-time. I have 3 teenage boys (well, youngest DS is turning 13 this year, so almost!) and a husband.

I'm a PTSAHM too. I have 3 kids 9, 5, 2 who keep me young. :-) DH's niece 20 and nephew 18 also live w/ me so it's a full house!

I'm not a pack rat but my kids are -- I'm constantly tripping over their stuff. They are at the age where they go through interest & things so fast so the minute I cleaned out one kid's closet, it's time to do the next one. My goal this year is to totally re-org the house (everything has a place and in its place) but I say that every year... LOL :-D
