What is Everyone Doing Today?

This morning I did some of the usual house work, made some chili soup, made macaroni salad, baked a chocolate cake and did dishes. This afternoon I have Alyssa who is asleep right now in our new Pack and Play. I also have two extra dogs, KC and Lily are here. Amber is home working in the yard hoping to get something accomplished. I am having lots of fun. This is her second visit to spend some hours with me. She weighs ten pounds and 2 1/2 ounces the last time she was at the doctor's. She goes again tomorrow and I am pretty sure she has added a few more ounces. She is gaining a half ounce a day What have you all been doing? Over cast here for the most part in central Indiana and here in the woods it is 67.

This morning I worked at the St. Urho gardens for a couple of hours, then have been transplanting perennials for our Garden Club sale next week. In an hour, I have a meeting to go to. And I have dishes in the sink, that have not washed themselves. Oh, well, just add them to the dinner ones. But I'm tired of all that garden stuff.....not as easy as it used to be, but I love it.

Oh, Granlan, I am still not moving as I want. I think a lot of rest would help it. I keep doing things then resting. My husband has had two total knee replacements and he recovered just fine. It took me over a year to even feel well, not the bending, but I just felt like someone that had been really, really sick. I had to be in the hospital for 8 days, had to be on a lot of oxygen, kept runninng a fever and more pints of blood. I found out later from my family doctor after she got my records from the hospital that I apparently had a blood clot pass through my lung! So I want to avoid another total knee replacement if I can. I am riding along in a bit with youngest DD. I will sit in the truck with the dogs while she goes into the Dollar Store. We may pick up some lunch someplace. I don't feel like cooking. I have been trying to get some laundry done and have been trying to get my clothes pole put back into place. I finally have it there, so now I need to find a screw to put in it. Oh, and I still hear the squirrel in the fireplace. Maybe this afternoon will be better. Hope the sun is shining where everyone else is. Sue

What a crazy day. I was out planting the last flowers and DH brings me the phone, it's a good friend and I tell, Jan, I'll call her back in 15 minutes. Finish the flowers and call Jan back. Talk for 5 and DH wants some help planting tomato and watermelon plants, will call Jan back. Done planting and call Jan, DH comes in and asks if I want the stuff that I painted to stay outside, a storm is coming. I tell Jan I'll call her back. Run outside and save the painted "stuff". Call Jan back. We're talking and I'm looking outside and the wind is picking up and it is getting really dark. Look at the pontoon boat and see that something isn't right, holler for DH to take a look. Wind has pulled dock over and pontoon in danger. Tell Jan I will call her back. DH gets his waders on and I go out on the dock as far as I dare to hold pontoon lines. The wind is blowing and it is thundering, DH in the water and me on the dock! Get it all done and the rain starts, we race for the house! Call Jan back.........call waiting chimes in but I ignore it, she's been interupted enough! morning! we are in TrabenÂ´on the mosel river, staying in another youth hostel. lauren and i ate breakfast, boys are still sleeping. we are leaving in a little bit to drive to koln to go to the zoo. this keyboard is driving me nuts...the letters are in different places...well, some of them. so excuse my mistakes. we are here for three days going to trier tomorrow and then frankfurt on wednesday, fly out on wednesday morning. it will be good to get home. lot of things have changed here, the base i used to work at is completely changed, do not recognize anything about it as they have moved the old gates and the main road has changed outside it. i also could not find the last house i lived in, used to be a tiny village with one main street and maybe 20 homes, now has 2 streets and no sign of the old house. cannot wait to get home and catch up on everyone here at the kt.

Slept till 11:00 trying to recover from 3 days at work this past weekend. Got up, played some games on the computer to relax, did laundry, dishes, finally showered and went to the store to pick up more lunchmeat, cheese, bread and some cheap juice, among other things. Came home and made dinner and then had a nice long talk with my daughter about her recent rude behavior toward her mother, in my car when I picked her up from the park. She's grounded for 2 days now.

Hopefully I am finishing up on packing (from making the boxes to packing them and then sealing them!) 1500 custom rubik's cubes we had made to send to clients and prospects! Good Heaven! I don't know why I didn't think this one thru!! LOL!!

He wants to have a stuffed figure of him done for the next one....from a site called "I Am a Stuffed Animal". LOL!!

Went shopping for my GS an all weather jacket to take to Alaska.

I know you are having a ball!!!

I have been so busy today. I have been in town 3 times today. Our town fair is coming so I went into the store to get fair tickets for the grandkids.. They are almost half the cost if you get them ahead of time. I bought a hundred bucks worth. They can go and ride until their hearts are content. Some of the rides the parents have to go on with them so it takes more. It sure brings back wonderful memories of when our kids were little.

I have been getting extra things ready for Larry to take south. It is so much cheaper buying it here and sending it down. Our son, son-in-law and another guy are going down tomorrow for the weekend, too. They are taking their 3 young daughters, too. I made up some cool goodie bags for the girls. They will make a fire and make somemores, too. They will have a ball. I sure wish I was a mouse...

I am looking for a quiet evening when Larry leaves..

Took DH to the airport at 5:30. He's going to TX to visit our son. Worked on cleaning the garage, doing laundry, etc. Got a chicken sandwich from McD's for dinner.

I got my hair cut today. I have been knitting a cute little hooded sweater for a baby, but I see a mistake and have to rip out a lot, which I will get to later. I have frogged so much on this simple little sweater. I knit one sleeve about 3 times. I guess I am watching the tv too closely and not my knitting.

Just got back home from Bismarck ND (Dr for hubby) and then went to a casino for a couple of days. Had a good time and now rain again which is back for all our floods and farmers trying to get crops in.

1500 custom made rubik's cubes Lynn?? Wow, what is the finished picture look like? Very cool.

Today (Friday) I made 2 loaves of bread, 2 dozen rhubarb muffins, did 4 loads of laundry and hung them outside. Of course it started out sunny then had some light rain showers then sunny again. They're inside on my clothes rack now, finishing drying.

Zested and froze the juice of my 10 little limes. My bargain.....$1 for 10 limes.
