Going walking this morning. Then home to clean house. I also have a doctors appointment this afternoon. Will also be home for delivery of my new waterless cookware. Luckily DH is always home to sign for things that are delivered while I am out somewhere.

Gone to work this morning. After work I will bake some cookies to bring in tomorrow, and I will also get on the treadmill. Can't walk the dogs today because it's raining. Nothing else going on.

Vacumm floors while it's still too cold to go out, then take the dog on her walk. I only hope it has dried out where I usually let her go to run, otherwise it's the alternate route through town. The snow has finally melted in the garden/orchard so I need to set the x-pens out under the fruit trees and throw a couple of chickens in them to scratch around for bugs and to eat the weed seeds that are sprouting. I'll be in the greenhouse planting seeds in the paper pots I made last night so I can keep an eye on them (chickens). I have tons of seeds to start. Our summer season is only around 90 days so ya gotta pack a lotta punch in a short amount of time. We plant out Memorial Day, pray it doesn't frost and don't count on warm weather much past Labor Day.

Heading over to the Spa in an hour, for nails, pedicure and massage.

Retirement is tough :)

I have designated Mondays as my "day off" - no meetings, no volunteering, no chores, nothing. So I think I'm going to browse through the iStore and download some stuff on to my iPod, will do some reading, and maybe, just maybe, go to the mall for an hour.

Hi Sue, sorry your knee isn't doing well.
I plan to do some house cleaning, and probably not much else. I may start getting some clothes ready for my Texas road trip with Nita.

Going to take my granddaughter from Los Angeles to a movie this afternoon. Then watch my other two grandkids tonite.

Today I am getting a new kitchen sink. A nice deep sink...and later I am going to play in my garden. I have to decide whether or not to cover tomatoes as it is supposed to get chilly..

Well, until I woke up with my right knee acting stupid, I thought about doing several things around here.

Sue, I've never had knee surgery, but I sure don't like the way my knee feels today. I didn't do anything to aggravate it that I know of. Don't you overdo it today.

It is cold again here today and I am once again sitting here waiting on workmen. They are supposed to sand the drywall today and I am not looking forward to more of a mess than I already have.

Oh, Granlan, I am still not moving as I want. I think a lot of rest would help it. I keep doing things then resting. My husband has had two total knee replacements and he recovered just fine. It took me over a year to even feel well, not the bending, but I just felt like someone that had been really, really sick. I had to be in the hospital for 8 days, had to be on a lot of oxygen, kept runninng a fever and more pints of blood. I found out later from my family doctor after she got my records from the hospital that I apparently had a blood clot pass through my lung! So I want to avoid another total knee replacement if I can.

I am riding along in a bit with youngest DD. I will sit in the truck with the dogs while she goes into the Dollar Store. We may pick up some lunch someplace. I don't feel like cooking. I have been trying to get some laundry done and have been trying to get my clothes pole put back into place. I finally have it there, so now I need to find a screw to put in it.

Oh, and I still hear the squirrel in the fireplace. Maybe this afternoon will be better. Hope the sun is shining where everyone else is.

Going to pick up dogfood that is donated by Walmart for the wildlife, and then back home to work around here. I always eat at Cracker Barrel on Mondays too. They have good chicken and dressing.

Some sewing....My cousin wanted a new apron...so I finished that this morning...

And her husband wanted to know if I'd lengthen the straps on his bib overalls....(he likes his bibs...lol...but he's a big tall man and they make the straps too short..)

Having a problem with that...They used to have the end sewed and it would catch on the metal..but now the metal is attached to the fabric and I don't know how to redo it .
Don't even know how to get the orginal fabric out of it.

It's not a very nice day here in SW. Pa. so we'll be staying inside...This morning I worked in the Meals on Wheels kitchen and then DH and I delivered 22 meals...Our DGS is visiting from N. Carolina and he went with us and got to play with all the pets....

This afternoon might be a shopping trip...Not that I'm trying to spoil anyone but DGS did say he'd like to go shopping....

I also need to work on a vest for a school play for another DGS....

Today is our first day of spring break... but it won't look much like spring here for a couple days. Wind gusts in the 30mph range and we might even see snow flurries tonight! DS is supposed to have baseball practice, but they're 6, if it's too cold and windy I'm not taking him. We did that a couple weeks ago and it was miserable.

Other than that, we are cleaning. Our household has finally slowed down for a few days and we're going to get as much caught up as possible around here. If the kids are helpful for a couple days, maybe we'll go bowling or to a movie on Wednesday.

I have been doing outside work before it gets too hot. Now I am switching over to housework. I would rather dig ditches or pull weeds then do housework.

Pattico, what kind of apron did you make for your cousin? I have several patterns and I want to make one for my dear friend, when things slow down around here for a bit, don't know when that will be! I thought when I got older, I would have more free time, not true. It is about 38 degrees here and a bit windy. Had lots of rain yesterday and last night. There are lakes in the fields yet. I did get two pie shells baked this afternoon and cleaned the strawberries to fill one for supper. I will keep the other one for Easter and put strawberries in it too.
