What is Everyone Doing Today?

I have been moving cookbooks from my pantry to my closet in my dining room. I am not quite finished with that. I used my Roomba in my hall and entry and want to clean those floors. I also took Roomba apart and cleaned him good and now he is charging. I need to keep him busy! Wrote a few emails, talked to nephew and I guess we are finally able to start fixing up my Mother's place to then be able to rent it out. Two bedrooms right along White River. There is a lot we hope to do to the place, but for now we are starting with the bathroom. I have talked to all 3 girls and son already today. Of course I have been chatting with Izzi when she isn't sleeping! Now it is time for some lunch. How is everyone else today and what are you doing?

Looks like a busy day for both of us.

So far, up early, packed the car, stopped to vote (our state's primary today), went to the store on the way to the country house. Cleaned the house, watered the garden, baked a couple of cakes and have 3 loaves pumpernickel bread in the oven right now. Just taking a quick break--have a newspaper reporter and photographer showing up within the house, to do a story and photograph my 'antiques' for the Antiques Roadshow.

After that? I think I'll take the rest of the day off and either work on tying the quilt I have laid out in the spare bedroom or maybe finish the afgan I'm making for a friend's son who is getting married. Definitely will be doing something I can do sitting down, though--LOL.

Going for my first tatoo this afernoon. A small shamrock
on my ankle. My friend is getting a small palm tree on
her ankle also. Her first one too. This should be a interesting afternoon. We will be holding each others
hands. lol!!!

Allison, I love the pictures I have seen of your house, care to share more? The stone is awesome, someday I hope to build our retirement home using stone out in the country, but alas, to me lving in the country means snakes... just hate the thought of being surprised by one. We lived in town and the neighbors snakes infested our yard, memories of enjoying a walk in my yard barefoot and then seeing them slither away (just icky!) It's been two years and its still too fresh to think about that again! Oops, forgive me for straying on that thought (and this thread), this board has been so slowy lately since, well you know....so I don't think I will get in trouble for straying. Seven pets, you are my kind of woman! My DH has limited us to four pets with fur, can't say I blame him. Can you place some kind of "memory garden" for your pets at your new house? Maybe that is something you can incorporate into your landscaping plans to honor their memory at your new home. I know how special pets becomes and how hard it is when they are gone...building something special in honor of them may make it a little easier.

Worked today. We had a dinner at work for Mother's Day, fried chicken, potatoes & green beans, corn, broccoli salad, rolls, macaroni salad, potato salad, mac & cheese, fresh apple slices and strawberry cheesecake. All very good. Nice, semi-busy day, but not horribly so. Came home and me and the kids took out all our old junk, old paint cans from when we first moved here to this house and what the previous owner left, 2 microwaves, a treadmill, old bookcase (that someone picked up while we were still moving stuff out), two broken dining room chairs, an end table, several computer terminals, an old monitor, Lauren's old daybed and mattresses, old broken Christmas tree, etc... The city is coming to pick up this stuff tomorrow. They do it once a year. The guy who came to look through our junk and who took the bookcase, helped Alex move the treadmill down to the road. We three were struggling to get it out of the front door so he came up to help. Nice, huh? Someone else came by before that but I don't think they took anything. Tomorrow and the next day I get to finish painting Alex's old room, clean it up and then work on cleaning up the garage. I've had my car sitting out the last few days and I'll be glad to be able to put it in the garage at night. It was chilly this morning with dew all over it, took forever to clear the windows so I could see out of it. Oh, and my dad called while I was at work to wish me a Happy Mother's day, so when I was on break I called him back (he had left me a voicemail messsage), got a text from an old friend and one newer friend, for the same reason. Came home and the kids had a card waiting for me. ( : Not too bad a Mother's Day.

Not too much. Spent the morning visiting my aunt at the assisted living facility. Then came home and polished the upstairs floors with Old English Scratch Cover--does a GREAT job on floors. Then spent some time organizing and paying bills. DH came home late--they've been working overtime every day--and I reached into the freezer to get some bacon for BLT's.... Ooops, knew I had bacon, but I realized it's at the other house, so we ran out for Chick Fila. Then, when we got home, the little gal next door was out, she got interested when she saw my husband changing the batteries in my metal detector, so I tossed a handful of change into the back yard when she wasn't looking and let her have fun finding it.

morning! we are in TrabenÂ´on the mosel river, staying in another youth hostel. lauren and i ate breakfast, boys are still sleeping. we are leaving in a little bit to drive to koln to go to the zoo. this keyboard is driving me nuts...the letters are in different places...well, some of them. so excuse my mistakes. we are here for three days going to trier tomorrow and then frankfurt on wednesday, fly out on wednesday morning. it will be good to get home. lot of things have changed here, the base i used to work at is completely changed, do not recognize anything about it as they have moved the old gates and the main road has changed outside it. i also could not find the last house i lived in, used to be a tiny village with one main street and maybe 20 homes, now has 2 streets and no sign of the old house. cannot wait to get home and catch up on everyone here at the kt.

Cleaned the bathrooms this morning, mowed the lawn and am now washing the sheets and blanket from my bed. My car is in for service so I'm not going anywhere today.

Right now I'm out on my deck with my computer. I just couldn't face it indoors. It's gorgeous out today!

cleaned house from top to bottom again..im decluttering and giving it all to my sil for her annual yard sale..i havent even made it to the cellar or the sheds yet! thats a big mess. made meatloaf from the burgers left over from the boys' sunday nascar for hubbys lunch tomorrow and the rest of the week, talked to my sil she wants to put our car on the road because shes letting both her new ones go back..sad because she works so hard, well work something out because she takes me to work too..lol we all share so its a give and give sort of situation, gotta call my mom whos back in the hospital, and also waiting on a phone call from the lady i clean for to set up next date which reminds me i need to walk uptown to get minutes for my phone..and i still have to water my plants in the greenhouse lol and im wearing heels i havent worn heels in forever its usually workboots..dont know just felt like dressing up today..dh will probably keel over when he walks in the door lmbo as i never have time to dressup at all anymore..i even ironed..omg! then its cooking dinner, but i did sweep the portico out from the nascar race jeeze im forgetting something lol hope you all have a great day!

Had Grant over to play for a little while. He has been sick with the flu and
felt a little better and wanted to come to Mimi's house! lol

Didn't get my tatoo today. We went but found out you need
an appointment. Was under the impression they allowed walk-ins. We made an appointment for June 24. So we went
out for lunch tatoo less.

You all really accomplished a lot today, even if you didn't get your tattoo, clubm....My DH has a shamrock on his upper arm and our DD has a shamrock on the side of her leg...With my DH, he said he's always wanted one and a couple of years ago, while I was away went and got it...When I got home, he kept putting his sleeve up and I honestly thought it was fake..With our DD, we got her a gift certificate for her 40th birthday...So far, I haven't been that brave...
I didn't get much today....Finished redoing the bedroom with the summer stuff and cleaned the kitchen...After lunch I talked to my DD and we almost went shopping but neither one of us seemed to be in the mood...I picked out colors for the next cross stitch project and then even took a short nap...Just a very lazy day in this household....

I took Sushi to the groomer to get his facial hair trimmed a bit so I could see his face. She didn't charge anything for the trim. I also got Jake a season pass to the new dog park that opened yesterday and now DS and Jake are at the dog park. Sushi and I took a long nap mid-day.

I went to work. I forgot it was Tuesday, the day I bring in baked goods every week. Got chewed out all day by my coworkers ..LOL! Then I went home for lunch, and noticed a strange pick up truck at my neighbor's house. She is still annoyed that one time her house was broken into while I was home, and I didn't notice, so I contacted her at work and told her. Turns out her husband let a guy who she HATES into the house to do something today? So I accidentally started something there...

After work I went straight to St. Catharines to meet a flooring guy for my son's rental and to show the house. I also cleaned while I was waiting. Came home and made lemon squares as a peace offering for work tomorrow... now I'm just relaxing.

Worked, and it was a rough day. Low staffing. Was supposed to be my 8 hour day but I knew yesterday I'd have to stay because there wasn't enough staff then...got to worok and we had a call in.

Not much done today. Just trying to handle my pain and to get through the day.
However, I did a load of laundry and fix dinner.
Now, I am resting in bed watching the local news then off to sleep.
