I'm writing this from work. I get off at four, and then I'll head over to AC Moore to check out bargains in frames.

It was misting and terribly foggy on my drive in, but now the sun is shining.

I never heard of soaking broccoli in salt water.....is that a holdover from the days when homegrown broccoli would be covered with cabbage worms?

Say, it isn't home grown broccoli only, that has cabbage worms, I can vouch for that. I made a nice broccoli salad not too many months ago, didn't soak it and guess what I found! Cabbage worms. It all got dumped, so now it all gets the salt bath. Never again.

I just got home from church. I'm so glad I went. The music was awesome!

Jammer is still on the road, and youngest DS is gone somewhere, so I'm home alone. I've been going somewhere everyday last week and am looking forward to staying at home for the rest of the day.

I'm back to reading The Friday Night Knitting Club and will probably try to do some reading today.

The past few days have been chilly, but today is beautiful with a high of 77°. I may go out to check the garden.

Better cabbage worms than pesticide! But I'm surprised any broccoli has cabbage worms these days, since bacillus thuringiensis will take care of them so effectively and safely.

Sun is out today- We are getting ready for a BBQ tomorrow- Youngest boy just turned 17 and he is going to cook for his friends. Should be a lot of fun! I am going to finish cleaning my kitchen, do some laundry and then settle down to stitch for a bit.

I've been to church and to Chili's w/ DD#1, her DH, my DH and 2 of the granddaughters. DH has somebody coming to buy a metal detector, and after they leave we're going to make our nursing home rounds. We visit 3 people in 2 different nursing homes. The oldest one is sharp as a tack and the 2 younger ones don't know daylight from dark, but we go anyway. I'm planning to watch the HBO show based on the #1 Ladies Detective Agency tonight.

I doing some odds and ends today.. little things that have been nagging at me. And I'm also cooking a roast beef dinner for tonight, DD is bringing her boyfriend. And I am about to go do some stuff in the greenhouse.

Its raining here and there isn't any sun just gloomy.lazy day. Have some wash going that's about it. Maybe I'll
watch a movie later.

Not a whole lot - fixed us a bite of lunch, gathered up all the newspapers for recycling, a little laundry, etc. Oh, and finished a paperback!

This morning was spent doing detailed spring cleaning in our master bath. You know, the kind where you use dental tools, a toothbrush, microfiber and all kinds of cleaning solutions to get all the grunge out and nice sparkle in its place.

This afternoon with be spent looking for a new car for me. My poor little eleven your old beemer is feeling rather zapped of electrical integrity. Among other annoying problems, it blows fuses, interior and exterior lights within minutes of replacing them. It runs great though. :-) Our son the Audi tech tells us it may cost us more than we're willing to pay to have BMW troubleshoot and fix the problem, so off we go car shopping.

It is sunny and low 60's so been up in the garden weeding. Just finished lunch out on the deck so going back up to the garden. I had to divide up the huge clump of chives. They take over the raised bed if I let them. Also clean up around the lettuce, rutabaga and beets plants that are sprouting then water and fertilize.

I knitted some, did some dishes, and then went on a 54 mile bike ride. Just got out of the shower. ;)

Really awesome, a couple of days ago, it snowed. I think, Rita got a lot of snow, near Enid. I know, my house in Tulsa had 6 inches in that neighborhood.

Only in Oklahoma. :)
