I started working as soon as I got up this morning. Got the vacuuming done and the garbage taken out. Then I cooked breakfast, took a pain pill as my back is not used to all this work in a short time, LOL, and then I ate breakfast. Jammer is on his way home and should be here in a few minutes.
He said he wants browned sausage, fideo and rotel for lunch. I'm not sure what else will be in it as he will do the cooking.
We are going out to babysit the twins this afternoon and plan to swim for a couple of hours. If DS and DIL get in early from the graduation party then we might go out for awhile. Jammer has to work again tomorrow, so we're cramming in a lot of fun stuff today.

I changed the sheets and watered the hanging baskets. That's all the excitement I can take in one day!!

Finished laundry from yesterday, then started painting the laundry room.

Right now, taking a break from looking for kitchen cabinet knobs on-line. We've finally decided on a black nickel. Since we need 31 of them, this week we'll go to a store that sells that brand and eyeball them before ordering.

Later on, we're going to our local Greek church's Spring Festival for dinner.

Took Dudley to the groomer this morning and I'm waiting for her to call so I can go pick him up. He will look so cute with all that hair trimmed off. Then I would like to do some gardening - whether that will happen - who knows? Too bad I am so LAZY!!!

Grrr... I just made a long post and it vanished on me!! So I'll give a short answer this time.

I have put spare ribs in the crock pot, watered plants in the g/h, tried to straighten out a problem with a flooring company (frustrating), cleaned out the oven and the fridge and taken the dogs out.

Soon I'm going to Canadian Tire to pick up more supplies as I've become hooked on a propagation technique I discovered on one of the garden forums. Then I'm going to walk the dogs.

Later I will finish supper - ribs, asparagus, sauteed breaded cauliflower. Then I will do some weeding, as I do not like to do that when the sun is high. I will do some repotting as well.

I'm also working on two diaries- one is a propagation diary, and the other is a garden diary. I like to refer back to them.

All in all, it's a pretty good day.

Well since it is STILL RAINING!....I got the laundry all done, vacumed up and downstairs and dusted, cleaned up my art room. I did manage to get one bush trimmed in between raindrops!! Now I am inside again and trying to get warm again.

We've been spending a fair bit of time at the hospital to be with my step-father this past week.
Last nite DH played (drummer in a country bar band)and he wanted me to go with him. I normally don't but having Wally in the hospital going through a tough recovery hit DH hard.
Anyway, got home at 4 am. I am so not a nite owl. Sitting in a bar does nothing for me anyway. I just nurse my bottle of water and people-watch.

Of course, the 3 fur-kids can't tell time, so they were on the bed and wanting me up at 5:30 their usual time. They got the hint and stayed off the bed and left us alone after the 3rd time getting pushed away. Got up at 8.

Catching up on emails and other good stuff. Scrubbed the kitchen floor. Waiting for a person to come and pick up a plant I put on FreeCycle. The cats love eating particular plants of mine.

Weather should be nice tomorrow so I'll do a quick load of laundry and hang it out on the balcony (I prefer this to using the dryer) before we head down to see Wally again.

Pizza for dinner tonite methinks.

It's been a busy day here in SW. Pa...DH just finished mowing the grass..I baked a couple of loaves of banana bread and washed all the summer bed clothes and had them outside on the line, which DH just brought in....House got a fairly good cleaning and now I'm ready to put the summer bed stuff on the bed and finish cleaning that room...DD stopped for lunch and said she might want to go buy plants later...But, we have a BIG Hockey game tonight....Stanley Cup Playoffs on NBC and we need to be home for that.....
Here in SW Pa. we have the Super Bowl champs, might as well have the Stanley cup champs as well......

What a crazy day. I was out planting the last flowers and DH brings me the phone, it's a good friend and I tell, Jan, I'll call her back in 15 minutes. Finish the flowers and call Jan back. Talk for 5 and DH wants some help planting tomato and watermelon plants, will call Jan back.
Done planting and call Jan, DH comes in and asks if I want the stuff that I painted to stay outside, a storm is coming. I tell Jan I'll call her back. Run outside and save the painted "stuff".
Call Jan back. We're talking and I'm looking outside and the wind is picking up and it is getting really dark. Look at the pontoon boat and see that something isn't right, holler for DH to take a look. Wind has pulled dock over and pontoon in danger. Tell Jan I will call her back.
DH gets his waders on and I go out on the dock as far as I dare to hold pontoon lines. The wind is blowing and it is thundering, DH in the water and me on the dock! Get it all done and the rain starts, we race for the house!
Call Jan back.........call waiting chimes in but I ignore it, she's been interupted enough!
We did finish our call, just took a while to do it.
Dang!!!! The sun is shining now!

Same as every Saturday, laundry and cleaning bathrooms. I also transplanted a shrub which took me less than 10 minutes.

I started the weekend my favorite way, a bike ride. Rode 66 miles, with my husband and a huge group, once we got to the "official start" location.

Now, I am going to be lazy. I feel, like it is to hot out, to do much else. LOL

Awwww.....Dudley looks spiffy with his new hair cut! I'll bet he will be happy to have all that hair cut off after he's had a nice long nap!LOL
Haven't done much today.Slept late then went to Wal-mart to pick up DH's prescriptions that I have been trying to get refilled for a week.Still didn't get one of them.It's his Axid though so not something he would have to do without since you can get it OTC.It's just a lot cheaper for the prescription.
Stopped at a local chicken place and picked up catfish for lunch.It's always good but was crappy today.Pieces were all stuck together and the hush puppies were almost burned on the outside and soggy in the middle.
Been craving ice cream from Dairy Queen so am going to talk DH into getting some for me. DQ is only about 3 miles down the road from me and he has to go get a lottery ticket anyway.LOL

Overdone myself again today. First after shower and getting myself together; I took my laptop
to see why I couldn't get the internet, then off to see DS after seeing him I went to Target and
pick up a few things. Run all those bags home then off to the grocery store. Got home with groceries,
unloaded and put them away. Go back and get DS; he took a shower and I packed him some munchies
for later tonight, he took his dirty clothes down stairs and walked to Target. Finally, I took him back to
his place. Now, I am resting in bed with pain in my leg and back. I am hoping that the doctor's office
calls soon with my surgery scheduled.
This pain is driving me nuts.

Finally got the garden in and hope for the best. DD and I went to a place called the Flower shop, but is really a nursery. Expect rain tonight maybe, but if it rains hard or hails get to do the garden again. Farmers are trying so hard to get crops in. Many are disking, spraying and planting all at the same time. Those big outfits look so funny--sure takes a special person to handle them as it is 3 units (BIG) hooked together like a trailer.
After we picked up the plants we needed, brought them home and started planted, along with the seed packets.If everything comes up, we should be doing great. Everything here is a month late.

Laundry, dishes, moped,cleaned bathroom and about everything else. Now I need to get off and go make my bed. Love climbing into bed with clean sheets.. I had a busy week taking care of grandbabies so I was behind..

Did a couple of washes yesterday, picked up a friend to work at cleaning up his lunch trailer ready for an upcoming festival, took the first wash off of the line while he was here, hung out the second, figuring it'd be dry when I got home later ... but it rained, so the clothes were soggy and I brought them in this morning.

Fed cats, checked gardens (over doubled size, this year - new one has 6 rows 180 feet long): not much up yet, but some sprouts showing. I planted quite a few squash ... and had about five dozen seedlings to translant that came up from discarded fruits last year.

Did some housework, played freecell on computer for a while -I like spider solitaire, as being much more challenging ... but it's on the new computer, that isn't hooked up at present.

Shared pizza night at church with Iva Mae and her son, they went home after supper before the movie, "Yes Man". After helping clean up, filled four water jugs to keep me liquidated for the next while ... or should that be liquidified (not liquified, at least).

I hope that you all have an eventful, happy weekend, with some shared time with friends and loved ones.

The rest of my day! Cheryl brought Izzi and me home and we had the best nap! I finally forced myself to get up and start on supper. I just about have supper ready when Cheryl and Kevin come over. There isn't enough for four people so after some phone calls, it is decided, Amber and Mike will watch Izzi, I will take what I fixed to them for their supper. Cheryl, Kevin, Terri, Bill, Norm and I go out to eat. A real treat as we never get to go out and eat together. We went to The Golden Corral, a fairly new one and everything was really good. I drank so much iced tea I thought I would not be able to sleep, but I really did sleep well. Terri and Bill drove on home and Cheryl and Kevin took us to pick up Izzi and then we came back to our house and they stayed a bit and visited. It was a really nice day.
