Daughter is fixing supper--bar-b=que steaks, but in the garage because of very cold wind and rain expected. Eat in the house. GD made strawberry pies--sound so good.

DH made breakfast......the table was set with fresh flowers and a box of chocolates. The first box of chocolates in 48 years! I think my brother's accident made him realize how tenuous life is. Still no word on my brothers condition. I'm waiting for a call from my nephew with an up date. I keep praying he'll come out of his coma and be fine. Other than praying, am watching the golf tournament and very disappointed Phil Mickelson isn't doing better. Oh well, in the whole spectrum of life, a golf tournament isn't all that important but it does help keep my mind off of things.

DH went out and bought king crab legs, lobster tails and cheesecake. He fixed everything for me including taking the crabmeat out of the shell. A fantastic meal!

I have been pulling weeds all day and planting vegetables in the garden plot.
DS called to wish me a Happy Mother's Day. Made my day!

Family just left...I cooked simple dinner - turkey, potatoes and broccoli -homemade chocolate cake w/cream cheese icing.

Maddie is getting so big, she's 6 months old now, babbling away and starting to crawl.

I made DH his breakfast. Did 4 loads of laundry. Maded a batch of Toll House cookies and two loaves of wheat bread.
Took a meatloaf out of the freezer yesterday so we had that smashed potatoes and grilled corn on the cob. I've got to change the sheets on our bed, put the rubbish out and take a shower. Oh I repotted two orchids.

Went to Indy to have breakfast out with my DIL and grandkids. YUMMY! The twins were so darn cute. Rachael recorded me the cutiest grandma book. She was so proud of herself.. Came home, took a nap and now hubby is home. Great day...

I am so tired, sore, and worn out. After taking Allison and her parents to the airport I went to a herb fest. Bought some tomatoes, honey and salad burnett.

Planted all, after getting rid of more grass and weeds.

Then I took all the carp out from under the deck, so when the people come tomorrow to built the retaining wall, they can go ahead and get started. :)

I may go to bed early today.

Our daughter called to wish me a Happy Mother's Day this morning. I crafted for a while, then went to Walmart this afternoon to get a scanner/copier/printer as my old one had died. We had a nice dinner of roast, mashed potatoes and green beans. All in all it was a nice day.

Moni, I do not believe you are tired, sore, and worn out. I imagine you with endless energy. :-)

I had a lovely MotherÂs Day. My DS and his fiancee took me out for brunch at the coffee house she manages. ItÂs a great place with wonderful food. Since it opened only recently, it was nice to see so many people there for MotherÂs Day. The downside was that when lines began to form for service, future DIL got behind the counter and pitched in. As my son said, thatÂs what happens when youÂre the manager. We had to leave her there! But he went back and picked her up after dropping me at home. He came over later and weed-whacked while I mowed. The weather is cold and windy, but the barnyard looks nice.

My DD is out of town, but she's doing a belated Mother's Day cookout for me next weekend. Unlike her mom, who tends to incinerate things on the grill, she's a great griller.

Worked today. We had a dinner at work for Mother's Day, fried chicken, potatoes & green beans, corn, broccoli salad, rolls, macaroni salad, potato salad, mac & cheese, fresh apple slices and strawberry cheesecake. All very good.

Nice, semi-busy day, but not horribly so. Came home and me and the kids took out all our old junk, old paint cans from when we first moved here to this house and what the previous owner left, 2 microwaves, a treadmill, old bookcase (that someone picked up while we were still moving stuff out), two broken dining room chairs, an end table, several computer terminals, an old monitor, Lauren's old daybed and mattresses, old broken Christmas tree, etc... The city is coming to pick up this stuff tomorrow. They do it once a year.

The guy who came to look through our junk and who took the bookcase, helped Alex move the treadmill down to the road. We three were struggling to get it out of the front door so he came up to help. Nice, huh? Someone else came by before that but I don't think they took anything.

Tomorrow and the next day I get to finish painting Alex's old room, clean it up and then work on cleaning up the garage. I've had my car sitting out the last few days and I'll be glad to be able to put it in the garage at night. It was chilly this morning with dew all over it, took forever to clear the windows so I could see out of it.

Oh, and my dad called while I was at work to wish me a Happy Mother's day, so when I was on break I called him back (he had left me a voicemail messsage), got a text from an old friend and one newer friend, for the same reason. Came home and the kids had a card waiting for me. ( : Not too bad a Mother's Day.

My son and husband took me out for dinner. I had a whole stuffed lobster which was delicious

I went with my GF to a Hawaiian Festival. Then we went out to dinner. DH had to finish a job so my GF took his spot.

Got a call from DS this AM. He had to run a 3 day motorcycle rally this weekend. He sounded absolutely exhausted but it was nice to hear his voice and know they were doing ok. DD and I chatted on the phone a bit this evening. She and her DH took their 3 dogs to see their mom today. The dogs' mom. LOL
