I didn't watch any of American Idol this season, but I was curious because so many people were upset that Adam didn't win. So I went looking for him on YouTube, and I found this. He really does have a beautiful voice.

He's going to be a big star and he deserves it. I think it's better for his career that he came in second.

I love Adam and don't have any problem hearing anything he sings. I think he has a great voice range and I love everything he sings! I also agree that he looks SO much like a young Elvis. At our house, we just call him Little Elvis. Although I definitely love Danny and Matt, I think Adam is the one to beat this season. I think the judges might use their save for Matt, if he makes it one more week and goes back to the R&B sound. Chris is good. I love his voice and think he's a cute, clean cut guy. But...he just doesn't reach out and grab you like some of the others do. Scott...he's good but I think he has peaked and we can't expect more from him than we've already seen. Lil is just another singer with a big voice...nothing stands out as different. Allison is good. but , like Scott, I think she peaked early in the season and can't top what she's already shown us. Anoop could go tonight...toss up between him and Megan. Anoop may go, just because. But...IMO Megan should go because she performs badly!!!

I love Adam and Kris - You should look up Adam on Youtube. He has some amazing performances on there and a couple "interesting" ones. Paula Abdul has been dealing with nerve damage in her neck after years of dancing. She is in constant pain in her neck and down her arm. I agree she isn't much of a critic or judge, but hearing everyone (not just here) write her off as a "pill popper" is really unfair. It does seem pretty obvious she is on some strong pain meds every now and then. I have arthritis in my neck that is impinging on nerves and have pain and numbness down my arm. It isn't nearly as bad as what she has been dealing with, but it is NOT fun. I think of what she is going through every time I watch "Dancing with the Stars" and see the girls whip their heads around like they do. Wonder it the future will be the same for them.

have you also watched him sing 'is anybody listening' in the val kilmer ten commandments? it is on youtube and from about 2:40 on it gets pretty incredible.. power vocals to the max.. he is so emotional in the role his voice is almost crying.. i have to watch it everyday to get my fix. it is that video that shows me AI has not seen the best of him yet....LOVE Adam Here is a link that might be useful: is anybody listening?

Maura: Thanks for setting me straight. Don't know how I missed them performing with Queen, but I did. I'll have to check out "On Demand" for that performance. I do think Adam should make his own name for himself. He's extremely talented and he will go far solo or with his own band. I agree that Adam's career will be more successful than Chris' - which is one of the reasons why I "think" Chris won....b/c Adam is already on his way which opens a bigger door for Chris, which would have been less likely.

Wow what a talent! And I'm really surprised he didn't win Idol - I've actually been trying to avoid seeing who won (via internet) because I think the final dosn't screen here until tonight. But then I remembered we're going to be out until after midnight so I just couldn't help but peek in here and find out!

I've done this with a few of his other AI performances, esp. the studio versions. I'll be happy to pay for any of his tunes in the future as long as he's getting something contractually for them. AI probably owns all/almost all rights to anything recorded for AI.

thanks Alisande for posting that link, I had chills.

He would have come in first for sure if he would have sang that; my take on it is that he followed what he is today,
more inclined to heavy rock, and did not go mainstream just to garner more votes, and that cost him the title.

Adam is a fantastically talented young man and I know he will go far. We thought from the start that he would win, but as Donna said, second place can be a blessing because it does not have the contract restraints of winning Idol.

We love Kris too, and he was such a gracious, humble winner, saying he thought Adam should have won. He sings beautifully, from the heart, and has excellent guitar and piano skills to go along with his voice.

Thanks Alisande, for sharing.

Adam has a true command of his talent and I'm so happy he was able to bring it to AI. That has done wonders for the show, and I believe the aspiring AI wannabe's will be the better for the experience of his talent. I thoroughly enjoyed "the Prayer", and also the one from Bridadoon. I actually listed to them all. He has such beautiful voice, but is able to use it across all musical themes. We normally hear what is on the radio, and musicals aren't in vogue any longer - we just don't get to hear music and songs any more. This was so refreshing - Adam's voice is Magnificent!
