I'm another evening person. I can't call myself a night owl any more, because I do seem to fold by 11. Still, I get much more done in the evening. I usually get up between 7:30 - 8 a.m. but even then I am useless for the first hour.

I like to do my gardening in the early evening, too.

I kind of envy those who are up with the birds, although I notice that those people are in bed sleeping a couple of hours before I am. My one friend is up by 5:30 a.m. but goes to bed at 8:30 p.m., which I cannot imagine. But, to each her own!

I am definitely a morning person. All of my life I have worked the early shift 6,6:30 and at one time ever 4 am. Mornign is the most beautiful time of the day I think. I have a hard time understanding how some people can sleep late and miss the morning sunrises or even just the cool part of a hot day. Maybe this is because I was raised on a farm and had to get up to milk the cows before going to school. I don't ever remember sleeping in late. Even now on my days off I get up early. I have been up since 6 today.

As a small child I was 'morning'. I think many adolescents are what a friend described as vampires -- alive only at night and impossible to get up in the mornings. I stayed more 'evening' until our DS, then had to learn to get up and get going. As a Senior, I seem to tire earlier and am ready to rise by six a.m. The consistent factor has been that I need eight or nine hours of sleep at night. I can only nap if I'm sick.

Afternoon/early evening for me!

Enjoy sleeping late when I'm not going to exercise. Hit the sack in the evening no later than 10:30.

definetly not morning...afternoon -evening seems to be my better time of the day now.

I'm definitely a morning person! This creates challenges when I'm visiting my "evening person" sister. I'm awake in the morning with lots of energy to have a nice chat over breakfast, plan our day, etc. while she's still walking around in a fog. In the evening, I'm brain dead and trying to work up the energy to go to bed while she's simultaneously flying around in the kitchen and watching TV and talking in a LOUD voice!

Late morning for me. I can't sleep at night so I get up at 9.Once I am up, I get really busy and am still going until after dinner time. Then I relax and am trying to sleep by 11:30. Jim gets up about 7:30 and he takes Sandy,our dog with him. Then all of the snoring stops and I get about an hour and a half of sleep. I know that I sleep some during the night but not a sound sleep.

I love mornings. I just wish they happened several hours later!
I'm really more of an evening person, I guess.

I am a morning person. I can not sleep in very late at all unless I should be sick. I like to get my work done as soon as possible if I can and then do what I want later in the day.

After having to get up very early to start my day when teaching, now that I am retired I have become a late afternoon/evening person. I'm in bed by midnight and up usually by 8, but it takes me all morning to get moving. LOL

I'm late morning/early afternoon, too. I like mornings for the same reason bengardening does. But I also like to take my time reading the newspaper and working the puzzles.

I am also a mid morning, late afternoon person. I like when I get my work done early, but I also like to get up, check the forums, check my emails, make a list and then get going. I do wake up fast though....I'm not groggy. I don't usually go to bed until around midnight and I don't take naps. I get up around 7:30 or 8. If it is daylight when my husband leaves, he feeds the animals and walks the dog. I have an indoor dog that I have to walk, but she goes out, takes care of business fast. If it isn't daylight yet, he still walks the dog and I feed when I get up at 7:30. I ought to make an effort to switch around to being a morning person though. Especially as hot as it is now and as much work as I have to do outside.

Night Owl for sure but as I've aged I've come to appreciate mornings more so have my alarm set all week for 6:30am. I usually only get 4-6 hours a sleep a day and somehow manage.

When I was young we had a farm so we were up before dawn, getting chores done, that was the life of a farmer.
Then I was at college and had early classes so I was up early for that, then I was working and had to be up early for work.
At this point in my life I am a do what I want person! If I want to sleep late that is just fine if I want to stay up past midnight that is just fine. Unless I have something scheduled of course. But in general these days I am not up early and I am up late. I like it that way!
So I guess that makes me a middle of the day person LOL I do like nights better.

I'm a late afternoon evening person for sure. I love late night tv with a glass of wine. Lately I've been going to bed about midnight and getting up about 8 or 8:30. The years of early rising when I had to leave the house at 6:30 were sheer torture.

Forever and ever a night person. Up way past midnight every night.

Oh, definitely an afternoon/evening person. All the years of school and working in the daytime were torture for me. Now that I've retired I tend to get up about 8:00, but then I drag around until early afternoon and accomplish nothing. I've made it a goal never to have to get up in the dark again!

I used to be a morning person, and really did love being up and outside before the sun came up.

Since I've retired, I still wake up at 6 as my body just won't let me loll in bed any longer without aching. Unless I have someplace specific to be, I'm a slug all day. I HATE getting dressed!

I get in bed around 10:15 and read in bed, but find I can't stay awake past 11:00.

I am a morning person! I wake up around 6 ish and have most of my energy in the morning. By nightime I am wupped!

I go to bed around midnight...in the winter maybe even 1:00. I'm up around 6:45 - 7:00 but I really don't start accomplishing anything for hours. Unless I'm playing golf, of course.

Morning person here. I am up & ready to go at 4:30, it does not matter if we are working or not. Hubby goes to sleep at 8-8:30 but I watch tv till around 11:00. I don't get much sleep maybe 3-4 hrs a night & that is broken sleep. I envy people who can sleep late but I never could.

I used to be a night owl. DH was always a morning person. Lately though I have switched to being a morning person. Not sure why that happened and I'm not sure I like it.

Morning! I love mornings - would go to work at 6 every day if I could, but managed to convince my leadership team to let me start work at 7:30 instead of 8:00.

I've been a morning person all my life, except for a stint in the theatre, when I was up until 3 or 4 every morning after a show - and would sleep 'til noon. When the show closed, I was back to mornings, very easily.

It's rare that I sleep past 5:30.

Morning person here also. I do like to take an hour for coffee and such, then I pretty much go all day and drop tired early evening

Definitely night owl here. I used to hate having to be at work at 7 am, the middle of the night. :o)
Now, I start work at 9 am and that's much more tolerable.

Not a morning person, but not totally the night owl either. Dh is a night owl. Our kids are more the night owl variety. My friends are jealous. Lol!

I'm a morning person for sure. I get up at 6 every morning and usually wake up naturally at 5:45. No grogginess and I don't think I've ever hit a snooze button in my life!

I have flexible hours at work so I choose to do 7-4 so I can take advantage and have more time in the afternoon/evening.

The trade off is that I shut down around 8 pm and go to bed usually by 11. Even if I stay up really late into the early morning hours, I still can't sleep in past 8 the next day. That part is annoying.

Night owl here. I have always done my housework and laundry late into the wee hours, I even bake at night or cook for meals for the next day. If I go to bed before 3 am I am usually not feeling well.
