I've never seen a dual rod -- I'd sure like to have one. Yes, I put both my curtain and liner through the same hook and hang from the same rod.

My mom has one of the double ones. She's had it a long time so I don't know where she got it. I have always hung both curtains on the same rod. I just recently purchased one of those "curved" rods. I love it.
If you hang the tension rod in from of the other and slightly higher, you won't see the original rod and it will look fine.

I'd love a dual rod! I didn't know they existed.

In my main bath I have two tension rods, the liner sits about 1.5" lower than the curtain. You can't see it because I hung it below the hooks for the curtain.

In my master I have the two hooked onto one rod, but I hate it. The liner is specific for stall showers, so it's narrower and longer than the curtain. I can't really hang system like in the main bath, so I might have to order one of those double rods.

When I did have shower curtains, I put the liner and curtain on the same rod, and on the same hooks. If you have a rod pocket outer curtain that would necessitate the double rod.

If you're changing your shower curtain rod, you might want to consider a curved one. We first used one of these several years ago at a hotel and found it great. I've noticed them in stores ranging from $30-$50. It makes the space seem sooo much bigger when you shower...and yes, I hang the liner on the same hooks as the outer curtain. A curved rod can be mounted in the same location as a straight one (but does require screws). You'll love it! I have a fat bronze rod that I have my decorative curtain on, it is a tied back drape made from washable silk(tied back on both sides) Then above that in the back (in back of the drop wall) I have a regular travis rod with my plastic shower curtain that is on with regular curtain hooks. Hope this is clear.

Judiegal, I ordered that rod and it is sitting in the garage. Had seen them at Bed Bath & Beyond, but thought I was getting one similar to what I used to have when I ordered. It might work, will have to play with it when they finish the tile. If you put the two curtains through the same hooks then you would have a place to hang towels.

I have wondered about the curved rod. The area for the curtain is pretty close. Will look into that. My GD had one and loved it.

The old one I have would be perfect but it is a dainty filigree design. I bet it is at least 25 years old which would not matter, but it doesn't go with the tile too well.

We don't have a Bed, Bath and Beyond out here but I've seen the double rods at Linens 'n Things. But hurry because they're in chapter 11.

I have an old rod that has two rows of hooks on one twist tight decorative rod. It is about 16 years old. The top row of hooks are decorative and hold the curtain. The bottom row of hooks hold the liner. I like the design but cannot find this type either. Two of my decorative hooks have broken and I havn't foud an appropriate replacement. Oh well, I will also try something new. I think the duel rods for two curtains or hanging towels require screws in the wall or tile. Let me know how you solve your problem. Thanks...

I think I know what you are looking for. I had a rod that had 2 separate rows of hooks. One for the liner and one for the decorative outside curtain When we moved, I had to leave the rod and can not find another either. Any hints would be appreciated and I will do same.
