small & inexpensive easier to sell?

With cars, I have found that I could sell my $2500 car quicker than selling my $15,000 car.

Does this hold true for houses?

On the one hand, I would guess that more people can afford a $130,000 house than a $200,000 house....and this results in a greater potential buyer population if selling a cheaper house.

On the other hand, if people have enough money (or think they do) and they want the amenities of a $200,000 house, they will have no interest at all in the cheaper house.

So what do you think? Is it easier to sell the less expensive homes? ...or is it all a wash?
