Prayers, please for my niece

Do you remember my niece, Barbara, who lives in Killeen? Two years ago lots of you sent cards to her when she underwent a double mastectomy for breast cancer. She had been doing extremely well, then found out last week she has a brain tumor.

She's been in Scott & White in Temple and had surgery today. Neurosurgeon said he removed all he could, about 90% of the tumor. Initial biopsy test showed metastasized breast cancer. She will have some vision loss in one of her eyes. Dr. said he will wait for results of more tests and then decide what to do next.

Barbara's been so strong throughout all her surgeries, treatments, etc. She has a son who is out of college & lives nearby; her other son is in the Army due to get home from Iraq by the weekend. You'll probably remember that she's my twin sister's daughter, and since Neva died, I've become like a mom to her. She's very special to all of us, so I know she'd appreciate all the good thoughts and prayers you can spare.

I'll let you all know how she does when I hear something later.

Ah the poor gal and poor you, too! I'll certainly add her and you to my prayers, and I hope she makes acomplete recovery!

Sending special thoughts and prayers. I only had a single but sure wish they would have allowed me to have had a double that I wanted. It would be so nice to not have to wear a bra all the time.

In that she's 22,I don't know if this can be done, but maybe her parents should talk with her physician about her mental state. There may be something that would be available for asssisting her.

You must feel so sad. I'm very sorry and offer my prayers and good wishes. Tell her all the KTers are hoping for the best for her. So sorry.

Hello evatx...I am just getting ready to go to bed and she and all the rest of you will be top on my list of prayer!

Sorry to hear she has been through so much...I don't know how people get through this kind of stuff!
