there is a jandy 3 way valve located near spa that sounds as if it works like a venturi valve when in 3rd postion. I can hear a slight suction of air from the pipe and small amounts of air is pulled into the spa. valve is similiar to the automated valves on equipment pad but it is a manual valve that I think is to control amount of air entering spa. it has a skimmer like cover and is in small hole in concrete pad. I've tried all 3 positions so I know that valve is not in a closed position. Also, the foot or floor bubblers stopped working about a year after the pool/spa was finished but the other spa's jets worked fine. almost as if there was too much water pressure in the floor jets/bubblers for the air blower to push air thru entire system? thanks again, Drew

margesch, Jet arrangements are usually based on needs and the shape of the interior of the spa. For instance, multi-level seating? stand-up area for body jets? jets in the footwell? There are lots of things you can do. First thing I would do is determine how all these jets will function properly.....single pump? multiple pumps? plumbing size and jet flow rates? All good things to plan brfore you start! Good luck.

In order to utilize this filter your current bypass around the heat pump must be placed after the pump outlet and before the filter inlet then joining back up with the return line after the outlet of the heat pump. This fix will flow much more, but filter much less water. Your best bet is replacing your existing filter with either a DE 60sq/ft or a multi cartridge 400+sq/ft or larger. You can then leave your existing bypass in place around the heat pump. In the hydro-therapy action at the spa jet, you are unfortunately, as Geek stated "SOL" Both the piping and pump size are way under sized, you'll never be able to address this affordably after gunite. quote" My PB says we can add a 3 HP pump which would just operate the spa. "quote Whatever you do DO NOT TAKE THIS AVENUE Your current piping and filter, even with bypasses, won't take anything over a 2hp full or a 2 1/2hp uprated pump. My suggestion is a smaller jet nozzle diameter, placing a valve actuator on a 3-way to bypass prior to the filter around both it and the heat pump. Your Aqua-logic will have the available space to control it remotely. Quite honestly, I'm shocked that your infloor zones are even popping up with the authority necessary to effectively operate the cleaning heads. See ya, Kelly

We use Waterway jets exclusively and the plaster niche is always used. In order to install the plaster niche, they will have to chip around the 2 1/2" pipe, cut it back enough to allow the niche to finish flush. The niche glues onto the 2 1/2" pipe. It allows the jet assembly to sit flush. Waterway sells the complete assembly with a plaster niche or it can be purchased separately. Whatever patch they do will certainly be noticeable especially on a heavy pebble and you probably won't be happy.
