We're home again! Lots of pics

Well, we made it home again. We dropped the coach off at the dealership for repairs to things we found on the trip. They've got a week and a half to get it road ready again!

We had a great time. I'll post pics in a minute. I only got to sneak in once on Thurs morning to see what you all were up to. So, hugs and prayers, happy birthday, ect to all!

This is what we look like going down the road. We stopped at a scenic overlook.

We were as high as the buzzards!

I think he was crazy! You won't find me on one of those swining bridges!

The views were spectacular!!

We stopped in Renfro Valley, KY on the way down. We had driven past so many times in the last few years and didn't know what we were missing! If you like bluegrass music, this is the place to stop! We saw a musical on Sat. night, High School Reunion. Most of the people in it were actually graduates of the area, and played themselves. Only a couple were not locals originally. We enjoyed it so much, we came back on Thurs and stayed until this morning, and saw two more shows, each different, each excellant! We could spend the whole season there, if we could afford it and still see all the other places we want to see! I thought the prices were reasonable, but if you figure camp fees, and show fees for two, and multiply by 7 days a week, with three shows on Sat............. for a whole season......

But, we will go back!

We spent a couple of days in Chatanooga, then up a couple hours to Fall Creek Falls State Park and spen a night and enjoyed the beautiful scenery that I shared pics of with you.

We are tired and happy to be home again, but eager to leave on the next adventure!

I drove it again today! The wind was terrible, but I was much more comfortable driving it today than I was last Sat. If it hadn't been so windy and hard to hold on the road, I would have driven longer than one rest area to the next.

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions, all are appreciated!!!! I guess I'll have to find some flooring I like and hopefully, be able to get some samples, take them to the house and put them down in different areas of the house and see how they look, esp. against the base of the fireplace. I don't mind the parquet and it may look better once it's cleaned or refinished, but do I think it really looks good, not really. While I think it's okay in the entry, I just don't like how it looks in the area surrounding the base of the bricks. Any suggestions on what may look good against the brick?? Or, should I possibly consider some of the resilient tiles that look like slate in a color that would go with the brick? Would something like that complement?? Maybe a light color tile just in the entry, wood elsewhere? Any other suggestions?

Wascolette- The tile is from Subway ceramics. The pics do not do it justice. It is beautiful, beautiful tile. Very well made porcelain tile. My tile guy even commented on how nice it is. The grout I used is "moonlight". It was the lightess gray grout that my tile guy had available. To everyone- thanks again for all your encouragement and positive thoughts. I'm in the medical field. I know there are a lot of people going through surgery every day. It's so different when it's the most important person in your life going into the OR. I appreciate all your kind words. Hi hi hi! Sorry I haven't checked back in here. We're loving the house. We've done a lot of repairs and painting (I'm covered in paint right now as I type, actually), and it's getting nice and cozy and homey. I especially LOVE our basement classroom setup. We're not completely unpacked yet, even though we've been here a month and a half now. There are still a few boxes scattered around that we're taking forever to unpack. Hopefully in the next week or two. I'll post inside pictures soon. Love the Harry in the window, Kat. :) Sigh.

If you get into GA, try Tallulah Gorge or if you get way down into South GA, they have what we called growing up the Little Grand Canyon.

Beautiful pictures Tami. You sure look happy. I love RVing. We leave home the 20th of May to spend a week in Albany, Oregon with our Alfa RV group. Then we are off to the Wyoming Dinosaur Center in Thermopolis, Wyoming. We will arrive there the 31 of May. We will be there until the first part of July some time. We will be staying at the Fountain of Youth RV park. They have mineral hots springs there. Really nice people own it. Monday-Friday we will be working at the museum in the prep lab. I don't know what your route will be but if you should find yourself in the area be sure to stop in for a visit and a tour. Aren't the fuel prices a killer these days.

bettyswwa, there's a dinosaur national musuem on the Utah / Wyoming border also. We were there years ago at the quary where you could watch them work on the bones.

That is what my DH and I were going to do after I retired. But, I retired in 2001, and he died in 1999. I'm so glad we did get to go on a nice vacation up through Wyoming, Utah, Washington, and Oregon the year before.
I hope you get to send pictures from your trips.

Isn't it wonderful? We haven't sized down from the 36', but hope to soon. I have to practice getting out of the driveway and the trees have grown lower limbs. I'm not sure I can get the motorhome out after sitting for 3 months.

I'm so glad you are enjoying your new home. I enjoy stopping at every Vista or Rest Stop I see. LOL! Our next trip is in 4 weeks.

I would take it with me every time! If you don't you are stuck in one place, and there are some places you CAN'T take the rv. This makes it much easier to see things around you, go to the grocery, laundry, ect, while home stays put. You can base in one place, and travel 100 miles in one direction one day, and do it again the next in a different direction.
