I like to use sodium bromide in conjunction with bleach and a 12-14 hour filtration cycle to go from green to clean. Put in the appropriate amount per 10k gallons plus 2 gallons of bleach per 10k gallons. Let it run through the cycle and sit idle for the next 10-12 hours. If it didn't clear up in the 1st 24hrs brush aggressively and repeat the process again. This is a must because the ingredient is activated by chlorine. On the next morning, after sitting idle, vacuum to waste. Then add bleach daily until you can hold a residual reading. This process blows away bleach only for clearing up a nasty pool. Hey everyone! Just wanted to give a move-in update. For now, The orange chair is with my mom. I have a second bedroom/office where I might use it (it's basically where I'm hiding everything I haven't unpacked right now). I painted the trunk (originally, an ugly green) and lamps (black). That picture (from the 70s/inspired the mid century style choice) may go on another wall. I still have to find curtains to go over those vertical blinds...

Take that blue strap off, regardless of how tight it is and remove the stake. They are unnecessary. Nobody knows exactly what causes coning/lack of coning. With some it's age, stress can certainly be a factor, I've noticed that often I'll have cones on the plant in the pot but then it takes a few years once it's in the ground to really cone again (could be 'bonsai' effect, could be stress of being in pot?). Your plant looks healthy overall.
