Green words are back for me...how do I get rid of them

When they first started there was a link at the top that we could opt out of getting them.

Anyone know where the link is?

I hope this works Patti. I think you have to click disable in a couple different places. Then refresh the page? I can't remember now. I opted out, but then couldn't scroll back and forth on the bottom of the posts, so just left the stupid green words.

Just click on the disable tab - then click on the "click here to disable" area.

It should not affect anything else - such as scrolling. Who knows! LOL

If you clear your cookies - you will need to disable the intelletext again.

LOL! This brings back memories! When I was about 6 years old I used to pull them up & try to sell them. I made a sign - "Fresh Onions - Just Picked! 5 cents a bunch" & sat in front of my house. Believe it or not, I actually made about a dollar. Of course people bought them because I was "cute" - not because they needed onions. It also helped that I sold 5 bunches to my grandfather. LOL!

Just a quick update... First off, thanks again to everyone who posted here, your advice was very welcome. I had surprising difficulty finding some proper soil/compost/stuff/whatever for the house plants. All the local garden centres had sold out, and I still haven't got any. However, I cut back on the watering quite drastically, and now only water when the plants look like they need it. The plants look as fine as they ever did, my chilli plants are all flowering, and the flies have basically gone. We still get the odd one or two, but nothing that would make me think twice. We don't see them around the plants any more, which makes me think that the few we see are either tough ones that haven't had the decency to die since we dried out there homes, or ones that have come from elsewhere. I still intend to repot as and when I can get some soil, but it's a lot less urgent now. Thanks again.

At first I thought troll, but I do have a friend who HATES hosta. She and her DH bought a new home recently that was ringed with hosta and even had a hosta bed by the garage. These weren't the cheap common hosta either. She hated them so much, and said she did not even like TOUCHING them as hosta "Gave her the creeps". She was also afraid they might have slugs hiding in them and knew she would freak out if she touched a slug. I solved her "problem" with a shovel and my car. I was doing the happy dance and she was relieved that they were all gone. Hofer, I don't understand why you can't just dig them all up? Put them in a bucket with water with a 'FREE' sign on it, and leave them in your drive way. They'll be gone in no time. I do this when I thin out my lillies and irises. The "FREE" sign works.

The common yellow oxalis we have here has tiny "bulbules" (sp?), which lurk 12 -18 inches under the ground. You can easily pull up the plants, of course, but those tiny bulb things stay under the soil, and up it comes again. I once had a gardener who decided to eradicate it from a flower bed which is about 12 feet long and 6 feet wide. He actually dug up the top 2 feet of soil, and sifted it by hand to get all of the tiny bulbs out. That worked for the first year, but by 2-3 years after he did that, back the oxalis came. So, being lazy, what I do is just admire it in the Spring, except where it is trying to smother other plants. Then just pull it out around those plants. By late Spring here it has died down, and I pretend it is gone. Of course, it comes up again the next Spring. It is one of our first blooming plants to bloom (starts Jan/Feb), so I just regard it as such and let it be mostly. I just tried again.......see if it works this time. I did the same thing weeks ago, but it apparently ignored my instructions.

Okay...I think I've gotten rid of them again...BUT....

I wish they would leave the link on top so I wouldn't have to do it everytime I clean out history and cookies. That's what I had done last night that must have caused them to come back.

Right click on the green word. From there I was able to disable.

Yes Patti. I saved it in my favorites. Someone here reccomended it when they first started.

If I clear my cookies or my history the links come back.

I'm trying to get used to them.
