Coworker Saga is Over

Hi everyone

Just wanted to give you the latest news.

First I can tell you that the committee is meeting Friday to pick the top candidates for the job and interviews will be scheduled next week.

The big news is my coworker was finally let go today. Last week a student came to have her registration form signed and my coworker just started screaming at her. Shocked everyone because it came out of the blue and was totally uncalled for. So she had to meet with the Dean and HR first and then the president. She was told on Friday to start writing her letter of resignation and she met with the president at 9:00 this morning. She didnÃ¯Â¿Â½t come into the office at all so I didnÃ¯Â¿Â½t see her. At 11:00 the head of HR, my boss and the Dean went into her office and started taking stuff out in boxes. Found out that she is coming back after 5:00 to clear out her personal belongings. At least she was given the dignity of not having to face everyone. So the drama is finally over with that saga. Hopefully we can hire someone normal and quickly. It will be very busy being down one person but good riddance to her. I do feel sorry for her but she was slowly ruining our program and the work we do to help the students.

Thanks for all the support gang. And yes, Mission Stone and Tile is a great company. I never had any thought they would have been rigging the contest. I did have questions if there was possibly a computer malfunction with the voting. I am going with the darker circles, I think it will look great with my dark floor in the kitchen and make it a nice transition. Uh oh, my poor hubby, I've just added yet another project on the list. Currently have dd's room needing to be finished (has primer on walls and ceiling and she will be home in 1 week) Basement has studs and insulation up, no drywall yet. Oh boy. He must be stressing out.

I once worked with a woman who was new to the field (and the job) and really liked to have her hand held. She was asking me a lot of questions one day but I had a busy help desk to take care of so I told her (nicely, I thought) that I needed to take care of the calls and I would get back to her later. She never spoke to me again! She spoke to all the guys but not me. They were jealous of me since she was taking up all of their time everyday asking for help but she left me alone LOL. And guess what? She didn't last at this job (programming) and later she was spotted as a dental assistant, a cake decorator and most recently as a substitute teacher. She has issues. I knew I didn't do anything wrong and I never let it bother me. The silent treatment just made her look petty and immature. Well, it just highlighted that she was petty and immature.

Got the final plans back from the draftsman last night. At first he decided to make the front window in the garage the same length as the living room windows, which would have had them starting in the stone. I didn't send him a picture of them with them longer. I didn't ask him to make them longer. He just decided to do it on his own. So next go round, after I said I wanted it to be the same size as the windows on the left elevation, he gave me the windows on the left elevation, but switched from a triple window in front, to a double. FYI: This is what I've been dealing with regarding the draftsman for the past year. Anyway, it's all corrected now and these are the final drawings going to permitting once the truss plan comes back from the engineer.

I've heard the hahnii's are difficult for some and no problem for others and wondered which one am I? And why is that? I hope your coworker sheds some light on this, I'm so curious. I seem to remember Norma Lewis quoted as she can't grow them either.

Glad it worked out. i remember one job I was on, there were 2 guys always causing trouble. Loudmouths, complainers, never did their own jobs properly. Luckily both quit. It was much more peaceful aFTER.

wonder what her problem was? i know school (no matter what)jobs are stressful but omg, to ruin a good job is crazy...

ds1 works for a university in detroit and is glad to have such a great job...

well I sure hope my next post is that I got the job. I asked the dean this morning what we should do if students want to make spots to see him and he is giving me access to his calendar....another good sign I hope.
