English and Science. I am terrible at math.

English, French and Biology. I didn't like Math or Chemistry but I still got A's in them, I just had to work harder. I graduated top of my class.

Journalism and Social Studies were my best but I had a great history teacher.
I didn't well in math until I was in college.

I can't remember any of my grades, but I know they weren't spectacular. However, I worked as a secretary for more years than I care to remember, retiring at my last job after 17 years, so I would say typing and shorthand. In one of my first jobs I worked for the patent attorney in a company where it was mostly chemical ingredients, so I quickly learned or improvised shorthand chemical terms.

I don't know how many words a minute I typed, but after years of working I know the typewrite repair man commented on it.

My best was Skipping Class!

No not really, I mean I did do that plenty of times but I loved math, any business classes and did pretty well in social studies.

Did best and enjoyed the most my Math and English classes.

Home and Society, a lot of the jocks were in there and it was a riot. Absolutely hated English because of things we had to do up front of the class. My step daughter and my little sister were smarter than I was, they both just said no and still passed.

English was my very best subject.

Literature, English, History, Science, Economics. Hated math, still do, thank God for calculators!

Math, got a 99 on the 10th grade State Regents exam.

After all these years don't really remember,but graduated 4th in my class of 350, 3 boys beat me! We moved after my soph. year and finished the Jr. and Sr. year clear across the continent from Fl. Graduated from Watsonville High School in Ca.

Home Economics (cooking), Art, Typing and Shorthand. I absolutely hated English. I didn't like to read back then and then to have to stand up in front of everybody and give an oral report. YUK!!!

Math and Chemistry. Majored in Math and minored in Chemistry in college. Taught both.

English, journalism, home ec., typing, social studies, anything but math. I hated math and still do.

English, Chemistry, Physics, Biology. I stunk at math unless it was related to science. I just wasn't that interested in math for it's own sake.

Art and English. The English teacher would even let me help grade tests.

Definitely English. I was the go-to person for my peers to get help on papers. I "helped" my brother (a year younger) with a paper once, and was busted b/c our friends recognized my "voice" in it. They predicted then I would become an English teacher. I denied it; they were right. After that, probably French, b/c I enjoyed it (but don't remember much now). I was also successful in band with my flute, but that doesn't really get a grade. I was generally a good student, but I did struggle in high school math classes.

I hated school but I did okay. I think my favorite subject was Bookkeeping.

Thank you catlady, I just like to know what everyone else is up to and what they think, it makes it fun when there are posts to read and answer, at least it is for me.

Math was my very worst subject! I was not that fond of gym classes either. I never really cared about going to school, but never skipped school. Only missed if I was sick and at times that did happen. I think the reason I didn't care that much about school, was that I always wanted to be outside and with my dogs and ponies or fish in the river that we lived right on. Too much good stuff waiting for me.

This will be a bit long, but I think everyone here will appreciate the story.

The course I excelled in was one that males weren't allowed to take. I became a ground breaker when I was finally allowed to take the course and paved the way for other male students.

I wanted to take Home Ec (actually it was cooking, but they didn't call it that then) in my sophomore year, 1963. When I told the counselor I was told "males can't take that course, you need to take some type of shop". When I asked why, I got the answer "because home ec is only girls". Sooo, I went first in mechanical drawing which I promptly withdrew from after pinning the instructors shirt sleeve to my board with my compass. His sleeve naturally ripped off when he was walking away. This time mom came with me (she was catering at that time and thought I should be allowed to take the course)and was handed the same line. So off to wood working I went. I lasted all of two weeks before I sent back to the counselor's office. Reason? I kept breaking the stupid saw blades. Once again mom and I make the trip and again meet the same stupid reason. O.K. electrical shop it is.

To this day, I have the dubious distinction of being the only student ever to blow the entire electrical system in the school. Don't ask me how I managed that (I think the system was actually faulty and my overloading one of the outlets was the real reason it blew) but you should have seen the counselors face when mom and I went into his office. His response? "He can take ANYTHING he wants Mrs. K as long as it's not a shop."

So I spent my last three years in home ec and maintained a straight A average. I did have a couple of the gals who tried to make it rough for me, but the instructor brought that to a screeching halt.

I graduated in 1966 and was so upset when Mrs. D called me into her office shortly before graduation and handed me a thick package. It contained a scholarship to the chef's school in Chicago. What she didn't know was that I had enlisted in the Navy and this being 1966, there was no way out of that contract. I never did make it my career (the military wound up being my choice and a good one) but still enjoy cooking especially when we have a party.

I did very well in math and biology. Good thing since I became a nurse.
English was not easy for me.
I was my Home economics teachers star student, she loved me. She had me do lots of sewing for her and other staff. I still love to sew and cook/bake.

I still have my report card (book) for all 4 years. one year I got about 4 D's (turmoil in the family) I made passing grades after that . I was into singing in the chorus and doing committee work. I was busy looking out the wiindow I think.,I was on the executive council and planned dances etc I had terrible handwriting and after I copied how my boyfriend wrote I got better marks

Typing, shorthand, accounting, business law, English, music, math, science.

Math and Literature. Math and later accounting were "easy" for me but I loved Literature and happily soaked it up.
