You'll see on your post that two people responded, and both expressed the (very likely common response along with everyone else who hasn't responded) - "What are you asking?"

Do you want to know what to do with the ceramics? How to accessorize your room? Actually better pictures of your whole room with more perspective would be good.

But to get feedback a specific question is much more likely to garner answers.

I apologize for the confusion. I was trying to post pictures and they weren't showing up. Finally they did. But I lost the original post.

I have another post out here somewhere explaining what I need/want help with. I am moving. New home has med/dark cabinets, med/dark wood floors, lightish-med granite counters. Kitchen opens to family room. DR is behind FR and has large window and the kitchen has a slider, which is adjacent to DR window, so both rooms have to co-exist decorating wise.

I love the greens/reds/yellows. The display you see is what I will keep on my bakers rack in kitchen on a wall you don't see from FR. I showed this display so you can see the colors I like. The true colors I love are the ones on the DR table runner. I showed the chairs so you can see the greens. I'd say my primary color is green, followed by the red with accents of yellow.

I am looking all over for curtains/valances for windows and pillows. Or material to make my own. I was thinking of a ticking stripe in green for windows from Country Curtains, but not sure if that is dated. Any ideas? I have scoured the online fabric sources and nothing pops out at me.

I am showing pictures so you can see the style I like. I am keeping my light furniture. Sectional will be a camel/oatmeal kind of color. Neutral and mid colored.

Any ideas? Thank you.

At my old house I could leave them outside for all but about 4 months of the year. They can take a light frost. They spent their time in the shade of very tall oaks around the house. The yard had only one tiny spot of almost full sun and thats where the potted citrus and guavas lived as well as the normal in-the-ground veggies. At my new house (1 year as of today) I have very little shade and lots of wind (just like OK) so the tree ferns are sheltered along with the rest of the tropicals. I started off with 5 big ferns and lost all but 2 to the high heat and drought last summer along with some sort of mealy bug investation. waaaaaaaaaa A warning about using them near where you walk to sit - the species I have give off very itchy 'hairs'. You can't brush against them without noticing it. I can't believe that more folks don't grow potted citrus here. The warmth and humidity suit them well as patio plants and most of the time our winters are mild (frosty nights with 50 degree days). There are a few that grow in-the-ground types, but not as many as you'd think.

They are all beautiful. My favorite out of this bunch would be Sugarplum Glaze. The hybridizer for APH (Emily Olson) lives about 5 miles from me. I think she still does mail orders. I haven't been to her place in a couple years. Had to go to the grocery store here today also. Spent the rest of the day steam cleaning carpet. yuck.... Not sure how much good it will do with all this rain and 4 children. lol But we're having a birthday party this weekend for my daughter. Hoping the rain stops before then so they can stay outside. Thanks guys! Before anyone asks, our electric bill only goes up about $20 a month. Most of the lights are LEDs and since they blink on and off to the music, they all are usually not on at once. Ken, too funny, those lights are pretty bright. And, this song is pretty mild compared to the songs that blink to the music of Trans Siberian Orchresta! Thank goodness we don't have neighbors across the street. As we have transitioned into LED lights, I have rewired old incandescent props withs LED lights. It's very time-consuming trying to figure out how to get 60 bulbs to fit where there was once 50. Steve, I love the Stars of David. I have two more that will go up next year, but they need to be rewired with LEDs, so I'll have to wait until they come down so I can see how I put the new lights on. Here's an example of an angel that I rewired. It originally had 150 lights on it. I stripped the lights off, wrapped gutter guard around it and wired 700 lights on it. This took me almost a month to complete, but it's one of my favorites:

Very strange my last text is no longer here or maybe it didn't post? I'd written how much I appreciate all the time, thought, research and effort everyone has put in. It has been very helpful. I took the advice of a poster above and after school went to a BM store where I thought they might have a color consultant. They had two very helpful women who suggested after seeing my pictures on this site Wickham Gray for the kitchen and gray mirage for the dining area (it looks like a moss green) Both colors are soothing. The Wicham is similiar to several of the other colors people suggested. I put large sample squares of it up on the soffit over the window and it looks blue. I like it and if my youngest wasn't coming home from college tonight I'd run out and start painting. Instead I'm going to make a comfort food dinner. Homemade mac and cheese along with roasted brussel sprouts and salad. Ever since I found out you can roast the sprouts I'm a big fan of a formerly disliked vegetable. Regarding the fridge-it's actually just a normal size one door fridge and works just fine. Maybe it shines because I gave it a good cleaning after we put down the floor! Cannot justify the expense of replacing it for aesthetic reasons. I have a kitchen cat g-d vertical flag that one of my daughters brought back from Japan and could hang it on the fridge! That should add color. Wishing everyone a great holiday. Thanks again for your help.
