As I matter of fact I do wear jewelry differently at my 2 homes! I can't stand cold metal touching me so I don't wear necklaces in the winter (from Nov to about March) at my regular home. And I wear one particular pair of earring almost all winter because they dangle but not long enough to touch my skin. Some of the longer ones end up touching my neck from my scarves & bulky coat so I avoid those. It's crazy but cold metal just sends a chill right through me and makes me feel colder. Since it's warmer in HHI, I do wear necklaces & earrings and even bracelets. I usually bring a few down with me so that I can have some variety. One necklace at a time, if it's bold than the earrings are smaller. One bracelet at a time and it depends on my sleeve length. In both places, I occasionally wear rings when I remember them. Your comments about gold & blue reminds me that I have an 18k gold ring with a lapis lazuli stone. I should dig that out and start wearing it again.

Ooooo, the LE one is very cute. As Faron points out, you'll need some nice dresses for your future trip to the Maui Four Seasons so maybe the others you've ordered will still be worth keeping. I like the look of the Betsy but reading the material is nylon makes me hot and itchy. You might not have that problem. I like the theory of the Sundance dress but the color doesn't appeal to me. But I'm not wearing it. The AT stripe is definitely a keeper, you'll find a use for it even if it isn't this party. I think you should start the tradition of having a 50th birthday party every year from now on (since you'll have plenty of dresses to wear). It could be the fun, quirky thing that defines you. It doesn't always have to be a rented venue, just a celebration. If anyone questions it, tell them they are dropped from future guest lists. Who doesn't love a chance to celebrate life and wear a pretty dress?

Take a look at the Cole Haan air tali wedge. Looks a bit like a ballet flat from the front but has a small heel to add some leg length. Comes in lots of colors and models. Different kinds of heels, toes, spectator style, etc. Nordstrom has a nude peep toe, Zappos carries them as well. Just discovered a zebra pair too. Wouldn't wear either of the shoes shown above. Clog-types aren't comfortable for me. We just returned from a vacation in Los Angeles, traveled down by train, so I could take pretty much what I wanted. I took along 2 pairs of Alegria wedge slides, a pair of Clarks wedge espadrilles (love those), a pair of Ryka walking shoes, and my favorite black pumps (because one never knows...). Wore them all. Most of my shoes now are open-toed (it's about the pedicure), and most are Alegria and Clarks, which both have wonderful foot-beds, great for my high arches and bad back. Thank heavens shoes are getting more and more snazzy, even for geezer women!

Um, what happens when you sit down and the top-to-bottom 'tension' is gone? When you see something like this you have to think, "Wearing nothing would look better."

I don't think it's any more skimpy than most bikinis, but I think it's horribly ugly!

I don't particularly like it, but I would wear it, if and only if I had the figure for it.

Well, depending on what the back looks like. If it's a thong, then I wouldn't wear it.

The only thing that suit is good for is a body builder to show off her muscles and development, and for posing for magazine covers. It does get attention, but is it the right kind?

With her age and good body shape and excellent muscle tone: with all the other available styles out there, why would she pick a suit that is so unattractive - no I would never wear a style like that. Perhaps this model wouldn't either - she had to get paid to be photographed in it *LOL*

The way it is cut, it places an emphasis on the navel, and navels are just not that pretty. Actually that whole picture is rather gross. UGH!!
