Lighter colors/patterns last longer.

There is nothing wrong with a liner pool. Not having a tile line pattern, IMHO, won't hide the fact that it's a liner.

Obviously it will lool like a liner pool and we are thrilled to be able to put one in our backyard, I just personally would like as much of a natural look as possible. I think that can be achieved with a liner,it's just hard to know what these patterns will look like, that's why I'd love to hear from people who install/fix or have liner pools.

Personally, I prefer the darker shades of blue. My last liner was a Tara liner in "Ocean Wave" and I am very happy with it. When I visit my friend's house, who has a ligher color liner, hers seems faded to me. I think it all personal preference and you should go with what you like.

I suggest you try to see whatever liner you want in an actual pool. Being in the water changes the look. My pool builder has 4 pools on location and each liner is actually up to 4 different patterns pieced together so you can see what they look like in the water. All of the liner samples were about 6 feet long with a weighted bottom so you could put them in a pool and see how it looked. It is hard as there are many dozens to pick from! We chose Pacific Prizm which didn't look like much hanging on a rack but I thought it was cool and refreshing looking in the water-it has a faux tile boarder which is easy to keep clean with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

I wanted a dark liner and my husband wanted a lighter one. He won, and I'm glad he did. Yes, darker liners will hide dirt. It also hides dead critters and creepies - huge spiders, frogs, salamanders, voles/moles - that personally, I'd prefer not to swim with.

There's dark and then there's DARK. I like the mid to dark shades of blue, not black. With the liner I posted above, I can see the bottom of my pool without problems. It has a pretty blue shade without looking washed out. It does not hide the dirt. I,too, hate creepy-crawlies and it is important for safety to be able to see throught the water to the bottom also.

We changed liners last year. We went from light to dark. Almost like a gem color. We love it. We also took the opportunity to add a changing led (I think) light. It looks beautiful.
